Why would Hart go through with the charades? He doesn't strike me as that type of guy. He seems like a straight forward guy.

I will say this, though unpopular and without any sources, it does strike me as odd that we clearly offered the position to Strong and he has turned it down. I cannot think of any rational reason we would have offered if we believed we had Gruden. IMO, I would have to fully put the tin foil hat on to wrap my mind around this conspiracy. I hope. No, I pray I'm wrong but this is starting to look just like the Dooley search where we repeatedly got shot down be even second-tier coaches. My biggest fear is that we end up with Smart, Golden, Davis, et al. Again, this is not based on anything but my perception and I will disclose I had more than 1 drink tonight.

People, I'm having more fun and I'm more excited about UT football than I've been in years. I've killed more work time and pissed off more people with my crazy Gruden talk than I care to admit. :)

Win or lose (i.e. Gruden or not), I've had a kickass time with you all Grudenites (smokey, boro, carter, coasty, aj, and everybody else). I remember now why I love this team. You guys rock.

Ok, I'll give it a shot : There were three coaches about a week ago that publicly stated they were staying where they were at. That was Charlie Strong, Mike Gundy and Jimbo Fisher. Is it a coincidence that those were the same three Hart allegedly offered a contract to? I honestly don't know but why would you go after three who already said they were staying where they're at? Smells fishy to me.

Edit : And now according to Hubbs, we appear to be going after another coach who is apparently saying he's not interested in the job - Fedora.
