I work Graveyard shift and I have to try and get some sleep. I wish I could stay on here for a chance to get some news. Hoping it's Gruden but at this point I'm ready for it to be over. Maybe a different outcome than 2012. GBO

Sara may be referring to Knuck... he was here last night, if I remember correctly. I actually got 8 hours of sleep last night. First time in a month.

The major difference being is we aren't floating out a Chad Morris name specifically. Les Miles, despite some of the folks' objections to, is not a name without merit. Especially if he comes with some of the "supporting cast" so to speak. Chris Petersen is another name that's well respected in coaching circles. If either one are in play, that tends to make the competition stand up and take notice.

I think a few of the names that were floated weren't serious consideration and were more of a "due diligence" thing to keep all options open. Chad Morris isn't a "swing for the fences" name, but rather someone who has the potential and could be the plan G or H. And I'd bet some are just figments of sportswriters (and I use that term loosely with some) imaginations.

agree on Les.

agree with the idea in premise, i just didn't take this round of the Petersen stuff seriously...

agree on some of the names, and i didn't necessarily mean to single out Morris, just first name that popped in my head. you could plug in several names there, as you implied.

agree on the sports bloggers....also can't discount the fact that agents are floating names and "count" as anonymous sources. trying to create a sense of urgency for others...like the Venebles to Arkansas angle.."better hurry, supplies are limited....":)

i'm ready for it to be over, but not for the sake of it being over. we need to get as good a coach as we can out of this deal.

Maybe he wasn’t talking about UT, but instead the people of Rocky Top. They’re probably lighting up Gruden’s phone begging him to come down for Thelma Lue’s Chilli Cook Off.

No there isn't and that was what I was implying a few posts ago about leaking it out. I just don't think it will be a turn down, it will be more along the lines of we haven't talked to Tennessee. With that being said talks happened in 2012 and in 2017, just dont think the narrative will be that.

None of this UT stuff really matters. Go spend time with your loved ones. Unlike a coach we cant replace them.

Does anyone else think all these names are smokescreens??? I expected smokescreens with Currie, but I guess I didn't expect them from Fulmer.
