Official Jon Gruden Thread XLVIII

Dudley,

I'll take Les but we really need Tee to come in, as the head coach in waiting as part of that deal.

JMO

That’s the plan my friend. Tee isn’t leaving USC unless it’s worked out in his favor. For him to say he only comes if 1 or 2 guys are HC is pretty telling.

The plan imo is much like the AD blueprint

Give Gruden or Miles the keys and groom Tee and after time hand the program to Tee.

Tee has no other reason to leave USC other than for a special circumstance

I did but my smiling face is in the pics I would feel strange putting my pics on here.....do people do that? I don't have anything to hide or a reason not to I suppose

Nah dude, don't do that... Unless you got one of just the deer. Always up for seeing a fellow hunters kill. Bow or gun?

I will just say this and this is not pointed toward any one poster, if you are on here just blowing bs up everyone's rear cause you think it is funny or cool, or makes you feel important, than maybe you need to re-evaluate where you are in life. jmo

I understand not wanting to over shadow PM into the HOF but we are getting very near the dead time for recruiting. We can party with PM when he joins the pro HOF. We need a coach in time to save a class

I actually think if it's done early afternoon, it wouldn't overshadow it at all ... it would put UT on the front page of everywhere and Peyton would get his fair share of the limelight ... jmo

You know....it just don't work out and never will especially now. I wanted him to...and thougbt there was good information he would. Everyything has turned to **** and unfortunately we are not an elite job anymore like we though. Les with akiller staff is the best we can gope for.

Screw Les - if we go that route just make Tee the HC - and powerhouse staff and A+ recruiters. Don't need Les.

I know that 5 weeks ago that DB believed that it had real legs, a very real possibility. A lot has changed since then, but, without the outright denial it keeps people hoping.

We did the Giant’s footsteps in Northern Ireland. Belfast was super depressing though.

We were actually on a trip to Scotland and did a side trip to Ireland. My family is Scottish and from up around Inverness - Truly God’s country...

Stayed a night in Nairn at the Sunny Brae Inn. Sun went down about 10:30. 4 Scottish lasses were singing in the roundabout at the park across the street on the North Sea. I'll never forget that evening. Surreal.

Sean: you’re name comes up in a lot of coaching jobs Jon.
Jon: Eh don’t believe any of that stuff you read or hear Sean.

Only 1 question if there has been no serious interest, why hasn't it been put to bed. And NO it hasn't, no matter what happens it hasn't never been squashed. SOON! Gruden Get to the HILL!!!!!

This is a very easy question to answer. Ever play monopoly? If you tell what property is your favorite, suddenly people who land on it Jack up the sale price. If you act like it's not big deal you can negotiate from a place of strength.

And the point of this post?

listen man, a lot of people around here do fall for and believe a lot of troll crap, but there have been at least two very credible news outlets go to press on this very real tennessee-gruden relationship...that's the reality and, apparently, you haven't come to face to face with it

Well said, I believe he doesn't understand this thread is about believing and having hope that we will have the Big Orange winning championships with Gruden. I'm here for the fellowship and lively conversation. It's fun man.
