Hey folks, people do come here and read every post. There are many comments on other possible coaches. If you don't mind, could you please move those conversations over to the coaching prospect thread and be mindful of people who spend time here? Thanks guys!!
And before we get started, a public service announcement...
This is not just a thread about Gruden. It encompasses all things coaching search related and is an awesome conduit to pass on information along those lines. For those that feel the need to step in and say "Why are these threads still going?/You people are stupid!/Please just let this die!" please refrain.
It's very simple. If you can't read about a page and see what's going on, please leave without comment. It does you no good to say such things without knowing the depth of what we discuss in here. It's like 70% OT, 15% Alcohol, 5% Coaching Search, 5% poking fun at each other and 5% Gruden.
Kindly read before posting and enjoy the ride.
Cheers.
You have thrown all logic out the window. Polls are represented by dozens of folks, and collectively, well over 100 voices would be on the ballot. Equal regional representation removes the bias for voters in a specific region. In other words, SEC guys will stick their necks out for the SEC and Pac-12 guys will do the same for the teams out west and so forth. Averaging does nothing more than find the sweet spot for each team. This is not a PhD level math assignment.
If subjectivity doesn't belong in football, then you should be entirely against a panel of 13 (or 10, or 12, or 15) calling all the shots, no?
Not many people really know how 'close' Gruden was before the Schiano debacle. It may have just been some boosters putting out info to put pressure on Currie/Haslam.
You guys should not hang all hope on Gruden. It's starting to look like it isn't happening. While I would love it, the tea leaves are starting to show.
Don't reject any hire that isn't Gruden just because it isn't Gruden. We were looking at a Schiano/Doeren hire. Let that sink in.
cant have it both ways !!And before we get started, a public service announcement...
