I unpacked my five year old daughter’s backpack. This week was dedicated to the letter F. They did a drawing about the letter F and wrote a sentence. My girl drew a football and wrote, my mommy loves football. The football is orange! It’s not bammer red! Husband is a Bama grad....I won! I won! Best.day.ever!

And Pawl Finebaum. It would be a twofer.

He just grudgingly announced breaking news that Phil was in as UTAD. Had to mention that Phil was passed over for Currie.

Bama Paul and Alabubba fans hate them some Phil Fulmer cause he whooped their ass and got the cheaters busted. I love it.

We've taken a big step. Haslam and Currie were two of the major forces in ousting Phil.

Looks like Phil's knife is still sharp. I think he's coming in to restore order. This could happen.

Fulmer will just add to his legend if he brings in the White Whale.

Except this doesn't make any sense. Between his salary as a player, numerous PJ stores, and ongoing sponsorships Peyton is set for life financially. Professionally, he could work in the front office for the Colts, Titans, Saints, or Broncos tomorrow.

How much money is enough?

Everyone answers that their own way, it seems.

Does every millionaire immediately stop working for more? If they did, how would we get ten-millionaires? Or hundred-millionaires? Or billionaires?

Just because Peyton is very comfortable financially, do not make the mistake of assuming he is ready to chillax.

Is this presser gonna be televised? I’m trying my best not to set myself up for disappointment, but if Phil is getting named AD then I feel like UT will get a coach most of us will be happy with. I’ll also feel like Haslam’s control is at an end, which is what all of us wanted. May be really good days ahead.

good question. anyone know?
sec network prolly on finebaum.
utsports.com?

One of John Currie's absolute biggest and most basic mistakes was, he didn't manage expectations with the fan base. He didn't (1) take the time to listen, to learn our mood, to figure out what we expected and desired, nor (2) communicate back to us what he saw as realistic, feasible.

Not his only mistake, but one of his biggest.

I expect Phil not to make that mistake. I expect one of his first official acts to be communicating with us, letting us know he has an idea what we're looking for, and beginning to manage our expectations to keep things realistic.

Note: that last part may be painful, especially for those of us 100% locked in on JG. We'll have to wait and see.
Currie never communicated during this whole dismal season or the coaching search. That alone made him unknowable to us.

These are the true big victories in life.

Congratulations, lady, you won big. :good!:
