New email sent, gonna send every 15 mins, tweeting like an SOB right now as well lol

To whom it may concern,

With the recent firing of former Athletic Director John Curry, please know that the University supporters are now looking to you to lead the way to a brighter future for this great University and the great Athletics Department.

Please do not be influenced by outside factors such as Jimmy Haslam. Show him and any others that appear to control the University with iron fist that you will not be pushed around.

Do what's right, look to former Vols for guidance, Phil Fulmer, David Blackburn, Charles Davis, all great former Vols who would put the best interest in all the student-athletes to the front. Allow them to guide you into a resurgence in UT athletics. This athletics department has a rich history, from Gen. Robert Neyland, all the way to Phil Fulmer. Also don't forget about how influential Pat Summit was to women's athletics as a whole in this country. Be the guiding light that his once proud University used to be.

I'm just a humble fan and supporter of this great University. Please do not allow the Haslams to continue to control this University as if it were their own personal toy.

Thank you for your time,

Kudos for doing your part, but you might want to spell “Currie” correctly.

Speaking of math, it's very doubtful you have a 147 IQ. Statically speaking there should be only like 6-8 people posting on this board with that high of an IQ just in pure numbers terms. But then you'd have to account for self-selection to posting in a board like this in the first place in the middle of a work day AND the very fact that most of the population hasn't had an IQ test to accurately measure it.

So again, it's doubtful.

I can back it up. Been tested multiple times by overprotective parents. Try me friend. And I work nights btw and my weekend just started.

I just can’t understand how they were able to ditch one Haslam puppet but allowed another to fill his shoes.

Because they are like Clintons have minions in every position to ensure power at all times. We gotta pull a trump like upset catch them off guard.

So Currie was trying to do the right thing, gets fired, with pressure to the chancellor from Haslam, and is they are trying to appoint another yes man??

I have to believe that's true. I mean they allowed him for a week to put on this show and now all of a sudden they fire him?

He had to tell Haslam to f%$k off and well we saw what happened to the poor guy

Where is the dude that tells us exactly what we want to hear exactly when we need to hear it? See if he was chopping lettuce instead of being on fries we would know more...

I can’t imagine these boosters have been batting for a solid week to oust the HoH only to have a cronie put back in power. Keep the pedal down everyone.

Possibly to explain the events leading up to Schiano and the dumpster fire of the last week. Pin the dumpster fire on Currie. Save face as much as possible and try to distance herself while announcing the search for a new AD

Ok, question...

Was Currie good or bad? Was he trying to do the right thing and hire leach behind Haslam or was it something else? I can’t wrap my head around this??
I think Currie had no power to hire any one after the Schiano deal. I think it's all been faked to make it look like we're searching and make Currie look like crap on his way out

Yes. And if Currie wanted to keep his job and had the chance why wouldn't he publicly interview and hire Gruden? Because gruden has always had the job..

Currie was dead Sunday the 26th, he just didn't know it.

He couldn't have anything to do with Gruden as, like you said, I believe he was always in play. I struggled with Haslam from 2012 through this go around, but, decided from the last week that ultimately he is a problem, and not for Gruden, and thus, Currie wasn't for Gruden.

I think all the groundwork took place from sometime last few months, or longer, and then the finalization was last Friday and Sunday.

Maybe the other boosters didn't push Bev to fire Currie? Maybe Haslam had him fired because he was out there off leash trying to hire Leach?

This is just installing the next puppet, not the other boosters winning.

Interesting, Orange. So what would Davenport use the press conference to say, if not to announce a new AD?

My guess would be to discuss the firing of John Currie, how they plan to handle the coaching search moving forward, who will conduct the search as well as a search for a new athletic director. Also try to calm the masses. We're nuts.
