You also gotta look at where Leach has coached, he's been at Texas Tech and Wash State. Not exactly real powerhouses in the football world, but he did get TT to a #1 ranking in 08, won their division, which Butch never did by the way, also Doeren hasn't done either.

Give the man UT's resources and I'd be you he'd do a lot better.

Whatever. We’re back to making this about a coach. Smh... how quickly people lose sight of the problem when they get a little aroused. Stop trying to sell me on Leach, Miles or anyone. Our university has a terminal disease and we’re talking about how great the new band aids are.

Because you need a certain amount of backing and as much as I hate the word Resiliency gl withstand the waves of haslam force. Charlie has that with certain boosters, vfl, and the fans more than ever. It could be that some boosters are backing off because they dont see a light at the end of the tunnel. We need to remain steadfast and dig in like a Georgia tick in the summer time. The time is now the plan is in motion.

We will not go quietly into the night. We will not go down without a fight. We will live on we will win. Your dictatorship over the university of Tennessee has ended.

I may be late to the party this morning, but wasn't Blackburn rumored to be Gruden's Compliance guy if he became HC?

Our priority should remain getting rid of the Haslam syndicate in the university. Once that is accomplished, I think finding a new HC that could win here and have UT in contention for championships will get much easier. I'm still holding out hope for JG, but if that ship has sailed, then I think we'll be fine with another top choice.

David is dealing with other things from what I understand and I will leave it at that and ask that everyone respect that and please don’t run wild with speculation. We should just start a public push for Charles. Strategically our friends at the NAACP may help us out with that one.

The only thing that excites me about a Leach hire is the entertainment that would come from watching the reactions from those in our fan base that are more traditional, conservative, and reserved once the Leach antics start.
Still not enough for me to want him here. I could have gotten that with a Kiffin hire with the bonus of a younger coach that isn't afraid to surround himself with a top notch staff.

I think it's ideal, because this yeat's recruiting class is already a lost cause. Wait on new the AD to make a great hire. Don't hire someone because we seem desperate. That plays right into the HoH's hands.

I 100% get that. But that wasn't my point. I'm all for ridding of us Currie and Haslam, BUT saying we don't want Leach and he's a horrible hire, that's what I can't understand.

I want that too. But what makes people think it just happens, like overnight? Unless you Michael Corleone them, seems like it could take a long time. We could fire Currie today, but I don’t know if its as easy as firing the Haslams.

Well said. If the generals have retreated, why are we still getting shellacked. Leach is a real football coach, not some dooley or butch.
