Not likely. I think it’s more likely Jimmy “took care” of him. If he was truly missing, I think that would spread like WILDFIRE. I think he is up to something.

Actually if you think about it, the last time he tried to do something sneaky, he got busted by his staff. If I was up to something, I sure wouldn’t tell anyone!

That's whats so bizarre. All he had to do is say Jon Gruden is your new head coach and they would be measuring him for a statue right now. Now his career is in shambles.

He knew all along what the other boosters wanted to do and the efforts they had put into it. All that time he also knew he was gonna betray them in favor of Haslam's man. The failure falls in the fact he never had a back-up plan. He simply took for granted the GS hire would go straight on thru and leave us all helpless.

I truly don't know how we stood with JG prior to this GS blunder but if he's still in play undoubtedly his price will be even higher. He won't even like being around Currie I'm sure.

By all appearances Haslam is maintaining his control over the board with all these below average candidates and offers. . . . It's a shame that the other big money boosters won't put a stop to this coaching search and sit Currie on his behind and put Haslam in the corner. . . .

He is maintaining his control because the 26 members of the Board are his buddies. The chairman is his brother the Governor. 21 of the other members have been selected by the Governor, 3 of the 4 members that aren't the Governor or his appointments effectively report to the Governor for their day job, and the final member is the President who is on the Board but also serves at its direction. The fix isn't just by personality. This thing doesn't swing against the Haslams.

Regarding the other boosters, see above. Boosters don't have direct authority over the University. The deck is so stacked its shocking this thing has been stopped. Without the Politicians getting involved this thing would already have been over.

This thing doesn't turn until Bill turns on Jimmy. It literally will take brother against brother to end the way the fans and other boosters want. You want to make an impact? Don't boycott Pilot, where Jimmy won't notice or care. Call Bill Haslam's office and tell him you'll never vote for him for Senator. That's the route to pressure left. Senator is popularly elected by Tennessean's. He probably can win it after this, but it takes it from his for the taking to a risk. Bill Haslam is generally risk averse. Jimmy's the bull in the china shop.
