Official Jon Gruden Thread XLV

My guess is that Haslam, having interviewed Schiano prior to release of the Sandusky transcripts, had vetted Schiano and told Currie that the Browns had already vetted him and he was good to go. That was the extent of Currie's vetting.
Gruden, if he might consider it, certainly ain't coming if Haslam is in charge. I believe JAV and Blackjack9999. The Gruden ship has sailed and sunk--no chance. Hope they are wrong, but I doubt it.

Zero chance of Gruden with Currie still AD. This is why I have serious question about deerhunter. If he has a source in Haslam's camp that says Haslam is legit trying to get Gruden here...well, let's just say deerhunter may buy that, but Jon Gruden does not.

With Currie gone, next step must be Blackburn. I believe Blackburn as AD gives a real chance for Gruden to come.

No percentages, nothing like that. Blackburn gives a real chance at Gruden. But first things first.

FIRE.
CURRIE.
FIRST.

Remember when Currie delivered the presser about Butchs firing? Did Currie not say he had to have a coach by a certain date or we would have a new AD? I may be wrong here but anyone remember what date that was?

I think that was from the phone call to the QB recruit

12/20 signing date

Sad part is nobody has stood up for us but us. Yea, Swain, Travis, Ainge and a few others have been vocal but why hasn’t a VFL been on ESPN trying to get the word out. I don’t care if he spewed no Haslam or Currie hate just say hey, our fans are passionate and these are the reasons why they feel this way.

I’m still waiting for these so called leaders to stand up but from what I can tell, we actually have more leaders on here than we do out there.

Whoever the guys are that are on fox radio in Knoxville this morning were killing the media today...

Ok. Not sure it's been discussed, but let's assume Currie is ousted, we get our AD and then our coach. What's to keep HOH from meddling, sabotaging, blocking our new staff and AD at every turn moving forward? Wouldn't he be out for literal blood after being "ousted" himself? I mean, you can pull weeds but they come back sometimes stronger.

What would be required to fire Currie? Who/how many would have to approve the firing? Can any one of the Bev or Joe fire Currie? Does it take both Bev & Joe to Fire Currie? Does Gov have to sign off on firing Curry?

Asking for a friend.

This is what happens when people who aren't leaders are put in leadership positions.

Where is Doug Dickey? He would have told Haslem to have a Coke and a smile and STFU.

this. THIS!!!

I can't understand what's so hard about somebody standing up to Haslam, and telling him I'm not gonna do what you tell me, I'm gonna do what's best.

somebody in a position with some stones is all it would take, and this would be over. OVER!

they don't have to have his money. if they don't have to have his money, then they don't fall prey to his influence.

i guess i'm just to simpleminded to understand.
