Deerhunter offer stands, no need show who you are, we will see if Gruden, then we will settle up!

I'm a true Southern Gentleman and my word is my bond, so we will wait, and if we see the act come to fruition, we will connect and I will have something pretty nice on it's way to you, for your goodwill of coming out with "info". Let's see and hope I'm sending some Christmas cheers your way!

Watertown and the land is the move.

Daughter lives off of Louge rd wanting to be close to her, now she says they will be ready to build.. Daughter a Dr. at Vandy she got the money to build.. We just want a 2500 sq ft house we live in Jackson.. Heading that way

no, sir. Would love to take credit for the scoop, but better not. It'll work itself out soon enough. My whole family is ut. God help me if it gets out that i'm blabbing like an idiot on a board, just thought my brethren deserved better info after all we've been through. Plus i'm super stoked, tbh.

...and if it turns out this falls through, god help me even more. No upside to revealing myself at this juncture. Wouldn't be prudent

This has been asked a lot. Speculation I think is that the buyout is the holdup. Maybe they are trying to find a way to fire him with cause to avoid it or to see if he steps down.

ha...this is great if true...sounds exactly like the way the it was handled with CBJ twisting in the wind...karma is truly a b....
have to find some kind of silver lining to this pile of crap

That's seems a little out there to me. The whole CFB community can see he needs to be fired, but he keep him and publicly grudgef**k him?

It may be 100% true and I have no reason to doubt you. Just seems suspect to me.

He directly lied to people's faces about the business he was conducting in his capacity as an agent of the University.

He negotiated in bad faith with at least one coaching candidate and thereby exposed his employer and principal (the university) to legal liability for his fraudulent actions.

He breached his duties to the best interests of his employer and principal in order to further the interests of a private citizen who is not an employee or principal of the University.

Frankly, if assisted career suicide is all that happens to John Currie, he should count himself blessed.

I'm pushing my chips to the middle of the table. 100% Gruden.

If you don't believe, move on to another thread.

I posted this more than 2 weeks ago during a down cycle in the Gruden saga. I meant it then and it's still true today. I'm all in until our new coach stands on the podium. I believe.

Keep up the good fight people.

I think he is letting Currie absolutely kill his own career. Consider it repayment for the lies and betrayal that led us to this point.

Currie chose to do the bidding of Haslam to the detriment of his actual employer, the University. Thus doth the University repay his treachery.

JMO.

That's whats so bizarre. All he had to do is say Jon Gruden is your new head coach and they would be measuring him for a statue right now. Now his career is in shambles.

for the sake of argument and conversation, playing devil's advocate here..

how plausible would it be for JG to have been in play all along? no talks of anyone leading up 'til Sunday and all of a sudden the Schiano nuke? Around the time JG allegedly signed and asked for this 7 day roundup if you will of staff. Over the next few days reports fly out of 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th.. coach approached or talked to for the job, while all the work was already done on our end. Beav said PM would take one for the team on this, what if that was the upfront brunt of the mess to hopefully sooth over the fan base to keep what happened from happening. Which leaves to question, maybe the play was JG and the last few days have been nothing more than stories to keep fans pacified for maybe, 7 days or so? Especially with everything looking as if it's coming full circle "within 48 hrs, if we make a call"?

There's no question the Haslam influence has obviously been an issue for a while I don't disagree with, and even more so for certain people. Could this possibly be for some a perfect time to push personal agenda's like say oust one and replace with another? It's just been pretty obvious the current AD hasn't been very popular for a while with some. which rightfully so, he's not been very popular with many since Sunday, but the were a lot all ears and smiles when he promised to "open the checkbook" and deliver a "homerun hire". replies, comments, feel welcome. conspiracies are always intriguing

like I said for the sake of argument and conversation, I do not necessarily feel this way but begs to question being a possibility?

never say never to anything

That's what I've been thinking...maybe let haslams decision fall flat on its face in front of everyone to set up gruden, while also interviewing to keep attention on the coaches and not gruden. Heck every coach it seems has gotten something out of it. Maybe that's why nobody's called Tee about the HC and he's been on Grudens staff all along. It's falling into place it seems

On the blvd

Check out Palmer rd I live there and so does a vfl and former packer

Re-sent my email to DiPietro that I sent him during the AD search, with note attached that he should fire Currie and re-read attached:

"As a second generation UTK alumnus (my Dad graduated in 1957), longtime Volunteer Fund donor and Football season ticketholder, I am writing this in support of the selection of David Blackburn as our next UTAD. It is my belief that David is clearly the best candidate for the position.

David has proven over the years that he has the leadership qualities; the propensity for hard work; the willingness to take positions within the UT system that are necessary to grow his experience and knowledge; the personality to connect with the diverse make-up of Volunteer Nation; and most importantly, he has proven to be dedicated to the University of Tennessee. He is clearly ALL VOL and what we need at this time as we seek to become a top 25 university and a winner in all our athletic programs.

I hope that as you evaluate your candidates, you will take into consideration the overwhelming support that David has from the grassroots UT Alumni and every day VOL fan."

I understand your frustrations completely. I’ll address this once because I don’t want this to spiral and distract us. What’s done is done.

This has gone completely sideways on us. In the beginning, the belief was, everything was kosher and going to planned. A few, took it on their own accord to get in contact with some candidates they had a relationship with and for the most part, it seemed like everyone was ok with this.

Well, the only way I can rationalize what I’m about to say (and excuse me for being blunt is) “someone” or “some people” got *utt hurt that this happened without their blessing and didn’t invite “them” to the party, so to speak.

I’m not going to go into great detail what happened next because I don’t have enough time... I could write a book on it. The short story is, we were all taken off guard and surprised. The reason Bev didn’t sign off is because Bev wasn’t even in the loupe. It was rushed in order to try and get it done quickly, so there could be no objections.

Thankfully, someone close to Currie did, in fact, leak what was happening. If it weren’t for him/ her, this deal would have been done and Schiano would have been trotted out to EVERYONES surprise.

So there you have it. I know this doesn’t come as a surprise. Of course, like you said, this is purely from my perspective. I’m not going to comment on it anymore. We have more important things to focus our energy on, but we have won every battle since this all went down.

This Is kind of how I’d imagined it went down. Thank you for the clarity and keep fighting the good fight!

I’ve been taking it as a good sign but what do I know? Exile? You know?

My best guess is that Atlanta Vol is still fighting the battles that people at his level fight. We need to keep fighting the battles WE can fight. When we have a result, one way or another, I suspect AV will return and debrief us.

It doesn't seem all that plausible because Schiano surely wouldn't want his name and reputation scrutinized out in the open. I love a good conspiracy but it's more likely that Haslam and Currie are running a ship with no destination.

If Gruden was the guy, I don't see why he wouldn't have wanted it announced Sunday instead of Saturday? Why drag it out for another few days?

Deerhunter, I promise that if your info comes to fruition you will receive a nice Christmas gift from me, you can let me know where to send it. And you can count on it!

If not, you better f****** run and hide and consider yourself warned, got some money and got some time so I have no issue making it my #1 priority to seek you out, so you understand where this guy is coming from!

I lived on S Mt Juliet Rd nearly my whole life, so know that side of the interstate very, very well. Also a good location, it's so close to everything but hasn't had everything developed yet, so there's still some breathing room.

The middle school being built up the road in Gladeville will be something for traffic though.

I wonder about some things myself in regards to all these coaches talked to, not one guy signed? And you go from Shiano to Gundy at 7m to SMU, NC State coach, then back to Kevin Sumlin? There is no reason to any of that what so ever. Makes me think Gruden is still in play (maybe false hope) but either way, could be wrappping up SOON

Well worth it to me also but the troll stinch coming off of him is giving me a headache.

It'll be his loss!

Alright folks, keep up the good fight, real life outside of this is calling, keep hope alive, and deerhunter, in the immortal words of one Clint Eastwood, go ahead and make my day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get what you are saying.

If he is basically being hung out to dry, why all the "stream" to pressure the Joe and Bev to fire him? They wouldn't sign off on a hire that would save him if that is the case.

I'm one of your new Twitter friends @preemptivestrike. you did a fantastic Twitter job today. My wife understands. Gives her more time to watch Netflix.

Thanks! I remember your Twitter name! Glad your wife understands....there’s always a trade off lol. In the evenings, my husband gets a little more time playing COD:WWII and I lurk on the internet.

Fingers crossed for Gruden!
