Not that I know of at this time. But the move looks to be underway with a concentrated effort. This is not as easy as some may think. However John has been digging a deeper hole by the day.

With any luck, he should be nearing North Korea by now. Hole is massive.

What quality coach in his right mind would want to come work here? They have to know he is a dead man walking...

Heard my first Tennessee football game on the radio in 1956 or 1957 .... I only heard it on my moms radio as she listened.... but she listened to every game I believe the voice on the radio was Lindsey Nelson ... unsure but seems that is what I recall....

Anyway, after all years, this is the worse run coaching search I have ever heard of at Tennessee or any other school I can recall

Subscribe to the simplest answer, the scorpion and the frog.

Human nature and character determine the play, not wild and multi level conspiracy.

The magic trick works because of the simplest and easiest route to use to accomplish illusion. Who is Haslam, and what is his history, and what can be proven. We work off of what we can say we pretty much know, he is what he is and he is not a part of the ruse, could he be, yeah, but, the simpler more accepting feeling is the snake always shows it's true colors.

And, for the good guys, he made an easier mark because of who he is and how you could predict his movement.

I would take him in a heartbeat. In. A. Heart. Beat.

He left for his legitimate dream job. I don't think he would disrespect us again.

It's not that he left for his dream job. It's his body of work while here.

1. He left two weeks before Natl signing day and tried calling our recruits to get them to flip
2. Character was completely unimportant to him when recruiting. That's why we ended up with a bunch of punks
3. He constantly shot his mouth off every time he was at the mic. Then the good coaches punked him on the field.
4. His recruiting tactics were highly questionable.....and not to mention, IIRC, he missed on his most coveted targets. He would have had us in NCAA jail.
5. He never embraced the culture and tradition at Tennessee.
6. And to top it off, he's mostly laughed at and talked sh!t about UT since he left.

If you want him back, you have no pride. Period.

Personally, I want someone who sees UT as a destination job. Not someone looking for an opportunity to salvage their reputation so they can just roll out again when a prettier girl comes calling.

He publicly reached out first. All the tweets earlier in the season, and the interviews saying "people get back together all the time" etc. You realize how much he put himself out there saying that? He could've been made out to be the desperate stalking girlfriend begging to be taken back. I see Kiffin as standing there with his hand stuck out ready to shake our hand and be reconciled. He might even do some apologizing in private.

If you listen to his Dan Patrick interview, he seemed remorseful to a point. He didn't apologize, but seemed to have some internal struggle with how it all went down.

Having said that, I still don't trust the guy. He may have matured, he may have changed his ways......but I still don't trust him.

John Currie's 11/12 letter when Butch was fired:
We now turn our attention to an exhaustive search to identify a coach of the HIGHEST INTEGRITY and CHARACTER with the skills and vision to return Tennessee football to CHAMPIONSHIP form. Our commitment to doing what it takes to hire the ABSOLUTE BEST coach for the University of Tennessee is resolute.
Did Currie even write this? Did he even read it for that matter? Somebody read it to him please and explain it.

Strong words to say I have no pride, but everyone is entitled to their opinions, I suppose.

Interview sumlin? But not Tee? What it's clear Currie is on volnation doing the exact opposite of what we would like to happen
