This isn't what was implied by the 10 posts of 'hmmm' , 'interesting' , 'wow'....
It looks like you're saying you can see it, and strong news was posted, but you would rather ho-hum than share with the fine folks on this board.
If all you are stating is that it went from open to protected and you find that interesting...then just say it. And if that is the case I apologize if I mis-understood.
I would say though, there is a strong chance he's getting tired of being tweeted about the UT ordeal...so he just cut it off..
Its come out they never made the offer to Brohm per WBIR report
If he is to push a narrative, and the narrative moves the needle, then the needle becomes the barometer on how perception will be.
He started the betting line narrative, we took it from there. Betting lines move by money bet, thus, the more the narrative moved the more self fulfilling the prophecy and the reinforcement of one another independently and together.
love everything about this, except the closed mindedness with Kiffin is self sacrificial and ignorant in my opinion.
Sorry I couldn't post until now, but I was on a conference call this morning with several alumni/boosters. I was invited just as a courtesy by a friend that I went to UT with. The call was to discuss the current situation taking place and the incredibly bad PR this is causing for the University.
They all agreed to withdraw their donations until this mess in the AD is figured out. Basically when Currie is fired. From what I gathered those are yearly donations in the mid 6 figures when added together. Also some have stated they would withhold or change their estate donations that have been set up as well. I understood this to be in the 7 figure range.
I didn't know everyone on the call but one person is from a family that has their name on some things at UT. At the end of the call one of them said that they were going to call President's and Chancellor's office this morning and let them know of the conversation that just took place. Apparently he is someone whose call they will take.
Again I didn't know a lot of these folks and the money I am withholding from UT because of this mess, well lets just say they won't be running out of toilet paper by loosing my money.
Another thing they said, and all stated this, Kiffin is not welcome back on the hill.
Time for Currie to be fired. At this point, he is just embarrassing himself and our school.
Once he's out, time for Davenport to name a successor. Hopefully she refuses to answer any calls from Haslam while she does that. Ending up with Fulmer as temporary AD to conclude the coaching search, with possibility of considering Blackburn for permanent role, would be nice.
Then Phil can reach out to the biggest names, like Gruden and Patterson and Peterson. Sure, many of those options may now be completely off the table, but Phil can at least ask. And ask energetically.
Once we know the splash hires are truly beyond reach, Fulmer can (continuing to ignore Haslam) go out and get Tee and/or Les as a 3-5 year short-term fix.
Once we have a coach in place, and Haslam carries through with his undoubted threat to remove all funding for the university, Davenport and staff can begin organizing the remaining mega-boosters who should be happy and generous, having won the Booster Battle.
Please let this all happen as written,
Amen
Thank God some people have some pride. F that d-bag. He s@#t on us once already. I can't believe how many people are so eager to give him the opportunity to do it again.
Well, while shes on vacation we need your sleuthing skills
Whatcha got?
Very very interesting all of this is wild and far different from 2012 that being said I hope we get gruden I'm just still trying to connect as to why a gruden article dropped before the actual hire was made the real coach it doesn't make sense if you could connect them for me
Gettin' a bit suspicious of all of the dog and pony show. All of these rumored hires and straight up smoke. Zero chance UT misses on all of these candidates. The ones they've not contacted (which are light years better than Doeren & co.) would have serious interest. Not offering Les Miles? Tee? Those two should've been right behind Gundy. Buying time for Gruden. That's from my Gruden-colored glasses.
