Mrs. Davenport,

At this juncture in our coaching search, please stop all activity and breathe. Remove Currie from his position because he has proven without a shadow of a doubt that he cannot get the job done. Fulmer will act and help you finish this search while you decide on the next AD. All of Volanation begs that you save our great university.

Respectfully

Everyone who has ever cared and will care about Tennessee football

i don't think so, the narrative started with this because people were trying to gauge him, it changed as time went on. And once again, beav, changed with it. I think it became obvious where Currie's intentions and loyalties lied during the charade, and as I stated earlier beav wasn't meant for info, he was for continuing the build up for when outcry would be needed.

Hmmmmm so beaver is important to all of this but he doesn't know as much as he claims?...but he called the number shift in Vegas like who has the ability to call that on point?

John Currie out here making mediocre Head Coaches a lot of money with this coaching search. Can you imagine how many coaches are calling Currie just to get raises.

I sent emails but have heard anything back. Tbh I didn't expect to since I'm just a "sidewalk alum".

I'm sure they could care less losing what I spend on the vols. But there are 100's of thousands like me and it will add up.

I'm busy working and don't get to post and participate like you guys but keep it up. Currie and the administration can't take much more pressure before something has to give. The longer he goes without hiring a coach the better.

I don't have any social media so I can't help that way. So I'll be over here listening to my Dwight Yoakham while getting wet today and cheering y'all on.

Bless y'all for the work you are doing.

And pray it isn't Brett, that's the last thing we need.

Gruden has passed, I believe. What we have been through this week as a school is unimaginable and Currie’s reputation is shredded. Why go through all of this drama if you don’t have to? Only way Gruden is in play, is if Currie and Haslam are not. They’re are making real offers to Brohm, Gundy and Doeren. You don’t do that if you already have a plan.

If this is his master plan, he could have picked a much less dramatic way to do it. I’ll still despise Currie. In the past 3 weeks, I’ve gained 7 lbs from stress eating and binge drinking, my husband thinks I’m having an affair with some dude online, my kids are feral, and I think the university has me on a watch list by now with all the tweets and emails I’ve sent. I can’t take it!

Omg you’re describing my life lol! Except I have no kids at home! Go girl!

And, Currie was an unknown other than being brought by haslam. So, if you are he enemy of haslam, you assume he is a bad pawn. But, you need as may allegiances as possible, so you watch and gauge and infer from what you put in front of him.

Just as with Davenport as a new hire, you tread lightly and cya and self preservation. At some point, Currie became what they thought was more probable, a pain in the arse and impediment, and thus his situation changes in this dynamic.

Maybe, the ruse to find out precluded the concept of a Manning helping hand, thus making Manning an easier play for Currie and Haslam to believe.

i would be absolutely over the moon if somehow the other power boosters could convince the Chancellor et all that their money speaks louder than Haslam and drive him out.
They have good arguments, collectively they have:
1)more money than Haslam
2)more time (Haslam is 80) his involvement will become less soon anyway
3)are not involved in potential criminal investigations that could cast UT in a bad light

If they could oust currie and haslam, and force Gruden (or Kiffin) we would be back to winning.
The potential shift in donation between now, with fan lack of confidence and affection, as compared to when the football team is winning and spirits are high, will be astounding.

This is probably a big plan to get someone great and a chance for people around the ad to get their buddies from other schools big raises and Peyton a chance to burn schiano real good in the media and we're just crazy. Also, do they have to interview a certain number of people before hiring someone for a job like that for legality as well? Maybe we're all crazy.
