Anything been said about Grudens son at UT? I thought I remembered someone on here posting about knowing him or something. Surprised nothing has been said.

Ok so my insides are telling me Gruden has agreed to come but not while all of his staff is still coaching in the last games before bowl season

Notice insides not insiders

I am so tired of all the smoke and mirrors, cloak and dagger crap. Good grief, SOMEBODY just speak the truth in plain English instead of all this code and mysterious garbage.

What's it saying?

i would be absolutely over the moon if somehow the other power boosters could convince the Chancellor et all that their money speaks louder than Haslam and drive him out.
They have good arguments, collectively they have:
1)more money than Haslam
2)more time (Haslam is 80) his involvement will become less soon anyway
3)are not involved in potential criminal investigations that could cast UT in a bad light

If they could oust currie and haslam, and force Gruden (or Kiffin) we would be back to winning.
The potential shift in donation between now, with fan lack of confidence and affection, as compared to when the football team is winning and spirits are high, will be astounding.

How cool would it be if the Chancellor just listened to the fans instead of money.

Sorry I couldn't post until now, but I was on a conference call this morning with several alumni/boosters. I was invited just as a courtesy by a friend that I went to UT with. The call was to discuss the current situation taking place and the incredibly bad PR this is causing for the University.

They all agreed to withdraw their donations until this mess in the AD is figured out. Basically when Currie is fired. From what I gathered those are yearly donations in the mid 6 figures when added together. Also some have stated they would withhold or change their estate donations that have been set up as well. I understood this to be in the 7 figure range.

I didn't know everyone on the call but one person is from a family that has their name on some things at UT. At the end of the call one of them said that they were going to call President's and Chancellor's office this morning and let them know of the conversation that just took place. Apparently he is someone whose call they will take.

Again I didn't know a lot of these folks and the money I am withholding from UT because of this mess, well lets just say they won't be running out of toilet paper by loosing my money.

Another thing they said, and all stated this, Kiffin is not welcome back on the hill.

love everything about this, except the closed mindedness with Kiffin is self sacrificial and ignorant in my opinion.

The good guys gave the rope to the bad guys to hang themselves and the fallout has been more than they could have hoped for. Davenport and Dipietro chose wisely for the now viewed "winning side" to hire this new coach.
