As a Viet Nam veteran, UT BSEE alumnus, long time member of Tennessee Fund and season ticket holder, I am appalled that the UT Leadership team has allowed the Haslam cartel to dictate to those in a decision making position, such as yourself and Dr. DiPietro.


You must not allow Haslam's puppet, John Currie, to hire such unqualified candidates as he has presented to you for consideration.


He must be fired.*


We need yours and Dr. DiPietro's leadership in standing up to the Haslam cartel. Enough is enough.


Until such time that you have proven to me that my University is serious in this endeavor, I am withholding all current and future contributions. I have already withheld a current pledge to to the Pride of the Southland band and will continue until Currie is fired.

I'm wondering if the only reason they're rejecting offers from Currie now is for legal purposes. They're probably just trying to prove that they have the final say so and a deal is not binding without their signatures. Think about it. Before the last couple days there were absolutely zero names getting out that Currie. Now every single coach Currie is contacting is getting out to every single news outlet and Bev is publicly blocking Currie. CYA is all this is.

Guys, If we are committed to fire Currie/Haslam/Bev I’m all in. This has been the biggest mess in the history of UT, but we need to find a way other than tweeting at potential coaches. That’s not helping anything or anyone, except those pushing the perception of an out of control fan base. We can fight this battle without sinking that low. IMO.
