The one thing Haslam and Currie didn't count on was the quick and loud response about Schiano.

They literally could have picked any other so-so coach and probably got away with it.

That was a huge mistake on their part and left the door open to the ones opposed to them.

Whatever AV and other big boosters are doing behind the scenes along with us "the little guys", is working. It's working. Keep it up. Keep fighting. We know what we want. If there was an MOU for Gruden, Currie is the missing signature with blocks him for the moment?

For the Currie/Haslam coaches, the missing signatures are from the Chancellor and/or President?

He read an email exchange from one of the big TN boosters and John Currie.

Short of it is John wanted to meet him and the booster basically told him in a very direct way to go f$&k himself lol

It's on Clay's twitter, it needs to be watched, he is just ripping everyone up her from Currie to Davenport to Haslam.

Someone I guess told he he was gonna end up making powerful friends talking about the Haslams like that and Clay said he wasn't scared of the Haslama lol

Clay is the guy we need to rally around and get our message out there to go along with what we're already doing

Eh, the CBS article, and some other places. There was pretty wide sentiment that someone involved somehow had been talking with JG. If that's true, it's not a big step to think the rest could be true.

I admit, its a big stinking mess. However, I think VN overestimated Beaver's intentions. He stated them clearly - increase consumer expectations to ensure an inferior hire was rejected. No more, no less.

I do believe that he is connected to someone who is making (did make) a push for JG (or similar).

Who knows the totality of the truth? Very few, if any.

Sorry, I have lost all respect for Jon Gruden for not speaking ON THE RECORD about the coaching spot at UT, one way or the other. :nono: I've not seen a whisper from the guy.

Gundy came out like a man and set the record straight for all to see. Leaving NO QUESTION on the subject. He's one of the few real straight shooters :machgun: left in coaching today.

It's time to bring back Phil Fulmer as the AD. He has the class and reputation to get it done. He might even talk Manning into coming in as coach. Wouldn't that be better than sitting behind a desk with the Browns? The NFL is on a serious decline and the Browns have stunk since the 1970s.

I understand your point. But all information on the internet is from someone who’s an “insider” regarding a topic. It’ll be kinda hard to stick with that. Lol. 👊🤣

A little more encouragement. One of the higher level boosters in my circle told a few of us last night the he would be surprised if John was the AD Jan 1 and Bev was the chancellor on March 1. What we may be seeing is she is trying to separate from him to save herself. Problem is that leaves John making the hire unless we keep pressing to render him lame. If Bev is feeling it that only helps.

Does that not severely limit who we are able to hire? No decent coach is going to want to sign with an AD that is on his way out the door. Am I wrong here?
