One big money player making all the decisions is bad for business.....especially when said money are "donations" it's not a pay to play.....it's a pay for a say. Haslam may have opened a Pandora's box.....and I hope sooooo.....he is a cancer to the athletic department. He has way to much power for one person in this program....and this program is bigger than anyone person. He is a business man....and he ain't forking out millions because he is just feeling philanthropic especially when he is involved as much as he is. He is getting something out of it......I'm not gonna throw ten dollars in the salvation army bucket outside of Walmart the tell the volunteer Santa Claus how, when, and where he needs to operate his Lil red bucket. I wouldn't be surprised if he is getting kick backs from sexton from all the raises sexton''s client's get off Tennessee job vacancies ....and that might be scratching the surface.....UT Athletics is a piggy bank and toy for him.....other booster should have equal say and this may all be coming to a head tonight. Hopefully someone or Atlanta Vol....can shed light on this.....I may be wrong but something doesn't feel right with Haslam. He has had some shady business dealings in the past I'm sure there is no difference at our university. I wouldnt doubt he and our foot all program get our very own episode of American Greed in the future.....I hope I'm wrong and this is my opinion....What do you all think?

I think it's arguable whether SMU actually survived. I mean, it technically did, obviously, but it's never been and never will be the same. It's a program that is completely irrelevant and whose absolute ceiling is the non-Power Five New Year's Six bowl slot. This is a program that won national championships.

Penn State obviously survived and has largely recovered. They probably should've made the playoff last year.

I didn’t know Hyams said that too. It’s been widely reported that PF and JC have mended fences; it appears as if that isn’t the case. I honestly believe the 10,000 + people in Vol Nation have a better idea as to what is going on than the entire AD and BOT do!!

I am not anti-Kiffin, but I would be very careful about putting his name out there. I would not put it past him to turn us down in the most embarrassing fashion he could muster just for fun.

I also think Tee starts blocking calls from the 865 area code if we make a public offer to Kiffin.

As far as I know Gruden hasn't done shady s**t to win games. If I'm wrong, prove me wrong.

Oh I so miss the real deal. My first wife was from Newport and we lived there a few years. A friend introduced me to J.B. one time and I got to go up to Popcorn's place in Parrotsville. Never got to meet the legend but his stuff was legendary.

It won't happen quickly. If we don't keep up the full court press on everybody involved it will go away like they want it to. They are expecting tomorrow to be half the traffic, then less and less. We have to keep the pressure on.

Maybe Peyton in with Boosters schemed this Schiano plan with Haslam and Currie to end them. We rid ourselves of them. Turn the tables on the power. Put PF as AD. Grudens in on it as well. We hire Gruden. This is my fantasy land. Welcome

You're right, this article says the OSU AD first talked to Currie about 2 and a half weeks ago. That tells me he had no other plan in place...it was Schiano from the start!!!

Just ask the man!!!! Just ask Gruden for crying out loud...if he says "let's get this done!" see how quickly Currie and Bev get purged from the system...I believe the guys who say it was a done deal...the ones who were blindsided by Currie and the Haslam train. So just friggin' ask him again!! Beg him...Obviously we had the money...tell him to overlook the ones on their way out...for God's sake get ol' Phil to ask him!! Somebody just ask him at a presser for MNF...just say "hey bro!!! You want the job??" See what friggin' happens!!!
