At the very least Currie has to be fired. If he stays, he will be on really thin ice. No coach is coming here with a lame duck AD. Only way this hire works out is if Blackburn or Fulmer make it.

This may have already been stated in some way or another, but here goes anyway.

He said never say never, he talked about loving Rocky Top but he never denied or said no publicly.

It looks as if Currie never asked him? He was only interested in Schiano.

Maybe there was nothing to deny? Maybe saying "never say never" was an invitation to ask? Maybe talking about Rocky Top was him saying look at me, I am interested. I know it may be really far fetched, but the fact he nor his agent never said no was because he didn't have anything to say no to?

This is believable.

Who was giving Currie advise and why????...
PM?? He gave the thumbs up for a man he doesn’t like.
PF?? He gave advise to an AD that holds a position that he was screwed out of. So he gives the thumbs up.
No search firm..
No leaks..

Currie drops a bomb the day after we have an embarrassing loss. Fans say NO!! All hell breaks loose and now Currie is in the hot seat.

PM and PF are sitting back watching this unfold as planned....???? Seems like UT higher ups along with the JH fell right into a trap..

Don’t mess with wrong people by screwing those that bleed Orange. PF should be the AD and appears to me that may end up happening. Is it possible that this whole mess was by design and that Gruden was a smokescreen to get the fan base super excited? Knowing that a pick like GS would blow up in Curries face. Was there a plan to lose this battle knowing it would help win the war??

Hmm, if your "place of business" in this analogy is Volnation.com, and you are leaking things for over a month that are completely false, sounds like you should start looking into other career fields. You know what else you can do in a free country? Tell people they're FOS. In this case Beaver, VolNExile, OrangePill, etc. are FOS. Maybe they honestly believed they weren't, but they certainly ended up being it nonetheless.

This place being any sort of source of "inside information" (along with VQ) is officially debunked at this point.

He should have just given you the captain Jack Aubrey...

"You've come to the wrong shop for anarchy, brother."

Go ahead and debunk it then. I prefer bullet points.

Unfortunately, I feel that if Currie was getting the boot, it would have been done already. The UTAD obviously knows how upset the fans are, but doesn’t look like it’s gonna matter when it comes to Currie. Shoot me.

I prefer that too. But it's difficult for info to flow freely when posted info either gets shouted down or starts a huge fight in thread.

Just saying. Free flow of info has been DISincentivized. It happens, just the nature of the interwebz.

Edit: to be clear, I am not saying Freak or the mods have disincentivized info here. They do a great job for the most part of keeping trolls subdued.

Just do what I do, put the people who are toxic on "ignore". I've been here about 2 weeks and I've probably got 30 "ignores". Some people just need to be muted. Really appreciate what you bring to the board.

If we're going this far, which I don't think it totally ludicrous, then it's not much further to say that Currie orchestrated all of this.

Currie knows that Haslem is the big player and can't buck him directly. He lets the fanbase get rabid over Gruden and then leaked the MOU to get a riled-up VolNation to go nuts on social media.... he gets to escape Haslem's hire and now go do his own.

you very well may be right. Either way it goes Haslam and Currie are both trash. People including Boosters especially boosters , they need to stop funding them until Currie,Haslam,Davenport are gone.

Someone has leverage to bring 16 in on this..Reminder JH never says something like this until it was out in a history book

been several posts today concerning the PM - Haslam connection. I can truthfully say VN is fed up with Jim. The question then becomes why PM can't see what many of us see. Hidden agenda or dirty laundry?

Not really. You could ask the federal agency providing the funds for some specific purpose under FOIA, I suppose. Not sure how AD records/communications would be covered by that. FOIA is a federal law for federal agencies. In Tennessee, state agencies are covered by the Tennessee Public Records Act.

Here's info from UT on records requests:

"Public Records Requests

UT’s Office of Media and Internal Relations handles requests for public records for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, campus.

Along with complying with the Tennessee Public Records Act, the university aims to respond as efficiently and promptly as possible. Any Tennessee resident can request records made or received pursuant to law or in connection with the transaction of official university business."

Public Records Requests | Office of Communications and Marketing

I never said anything about whether the cat would get a response, just gave them a link about how to go about making a request.

TN receives federal money. Period. Therefore, they're subject to FOIA requests.

Whether you request individual emails and such is beyond me.... Person asked, I answered.

Dunno what you're on about.

I agree with this 100%. Fire Currie and Davenport. Announce Blackburn & Fulmer and tell them to call Gruden and tell him to get his band together! That song he loves ( Rocky Top) is waiting for him!! Gruden to the Hill

Okay laugh at me all you want, but to change to subject for just a second, when the Hell did Jesse Palmer end up on the Food Network? My wife is laying next to me watching some cooking competition, and there's Jesse in all his big forehead, gelled haired glory. Sorry, just needed to get a good chuckle from my fellow Vols.
