Currie's statement couldn't have been more disrespectful to the fans who shut down his awful hire. He didn't feel the need to give any credence or compassion to our concerns? What an arrogant jerk. I get no hope whatsoever from that stmt.

Let me sum up what he really said.

“Hi, I’m In John Currie. I’m not going anywhere. I’m protected by the Haslams who helped me get this job. I can’t believe you all acted like red necks and ruined my spectacular hire, whom was a friend of mine. Now I have to make this statement as part of our settlement with mr schiano. Jimmy Sexton is going to get paid wether you like it or not. I’ll bring out the next coach who I pick out , not you the fans or boosters. Get over it. Have a nice day!”

Gruden is no friend to Tennessee. If he was, he would have nipped this rumor in the bud. Instead, he greedily sit back enjoying the publicity. I have no respect for him.

He probably did not receive a legitimate offer and if there was one, his friends at or around the University probably told him what a sh**show it was.

What I heard from my guy as long as we have Currie he doesn't think we get anybody that can coach... he is still angry and wants Currie fired, does not know if it will happen

Tennessee is hosed and it aint getting any better until Haslam dies off or that family gets pushed the hell out. All this **** aint changing anytime soon and way too late for it to positively affect this hire.

Well it is probably old news, I didn't get to talk to him until today ... He is friends with C.H. but don't know if something he heard or something C.H. told him.... with the other things he told (none good) I didn't pursue it

He doubled down on the idea that we have no idea what is best for the university that most of us have loved all of our lives.
I have no respect for someone who cannot see the error of his ways and instead tries to justify his mistakes.
