I hope this is true, but the day before McElwain was fired, Forde said there hadn’t been any discussions about firing him. Unfortunately, I don’t think he has any sources at UF.

I want it to be clear to everyone where I stand and have stood since this process began. You'll see that I don't have many posts, but I've read this forum for weeks and have contributed when I could.

Why is Jon Gruden going to be our next head football coach? Because the man has integrity. That's 70% of why I haven't doubted (even after all the rumors). I knew we almost had him in 2012. When the grumors fired up heavy this year, I was afraid it was going to be 2012 all over again. Then, Jon got on ESPN Seattle and said what he did about Rocky Top (unprompted). Jon has enough respect for the University of Tennessee to put these "rumors" to bed this deep into this coaching search if he wasn't coming. I rest my case on that. If Jon wasn't coming, we would have already known.

I'm thankful for all of you. For the passion to see this program back on top. For your research. For your hilarious comments. I'm thankful to Beaver and ATL Vol for their insight.

With that said, 100% Gruden to the Hill!!!!!!!
