You may be correct I don't know.... what I simply say is they don't interest me..
If I hire you, I will give you a job to do, and tell you when I expect it to be done.... I will ask that you stay within the guidelines but will never ask how you did it... just that you do it....
I am not belittling anyone who wants to look into those things, they are good people, it is just NOT my nature to do so
I agree to an extent. IMO, a great recruiter down here, say from from Texas....all the way to FL, has to be able to get down on their knees in the living rooms of recruits to pray for direction.I don't care how good a coach he is, he's not going to win the SEC with the Idaho white boys football club. How is he going to recruit down here? Who are his go-to assistants with SEC ties who can recruit lights out, 'cause if he can't do it he's going to need about 5 Trooper Taylors?
I know it doesn't mean much but got some interesting news while at my in laws for Thanksgiving. A real good friend of my father in law played for UT in the 60's. He stays in touch with the program and goes to a good number of away games as well. When asked who he thinks the next coach is he is fully convinced it's Gruden.

I get that, but its like saying Urban Meyer cant recruit the south after being at Utah. As weve seen with our last 2 coaches, Tennessee recruits itself.
