Don’t start panicking until someone else is announced. There are many factors that lead to a decision and announcement.

I agree 100% with all this.... My one very accurate guy is a former player VFL and large donor .... played under Battle and Majors.... says that he is getting NOTHING from the AD office ... he is getting what he get only from Boosters ....

He is the one that says 50% Gruden ... some make fun of that but it also means all the rest of the names make up the other 50% ie. M*****, Frost, Googlename etc.


Gruden is only one with a 50% chance in his mind !!!

That’s why people are making fun of us. The can’t fathom this time being any different. But this isnt the 2008-2016 administration. Currie is a different cat and is proving it. This hire is as much about his legacy as anything else yet he chose to go at it alone with no search firm?? And you really think he’s going to hand over the reigns of this storied university to some google coach?? He has his man.

Leonard Little on twitter won't respond when asked who he wants as coach. Somebody said it's already gruden and he said "let it go my man." Either he's trying to keep it secret or it's not gruden.

Steve White said on Memphis radio on Monday that Gruden would be a very poor choice as Vols coach. He does not believe he would be a very good developer of QBs. He said Gruden was entertaining on tv talking to QBs but has never really developed one. TIFWIW

Lol. I took my husband and 7 and 5 year old to the store. My seven year old asked for a taste and I told her I’d save her some for her birthday....her 21st birthday. Seriously amazing tequila. I have never had oak aged tequila.

I said this very thing probably XX or so threads ago. They way Currie will be judged going forward truly depends on this hire. He will be a goat one way or another. GOAT or Scapegoat...we shall see!

I have had a lot more confidence since my guy told me Gruden 50% .... and I have not based anything on this board after that.... it has stabilized me to believe we got our man... but I am no where near the large percentages that many post .... I think Currie is the wild card here... but also believe he knows he is backed into a corner.

The question I ask is will he buckle under and follow as most will or will he be stubborn as he has proved to be in the past????

I’m telling you. No former players other than Peyton and whoever he decides to tell know who it is. They are reading Volnation just like us. Swain said as much last week. I know a super bowl winning VFL who played in the 90’s and he has no clue. He’s not faking or playing dumb. Currie knows and a few boosters who were a part of this know. The boosters happened to tell some people and that’s how we’re getting our info. It’s actually more believable to me that someone on here would know more that Hyamms, Hubbs and all the other media because the person who told them either wants them to share it on here or doesn’t have a clue it’s being shared. I think both scenarios are happening.

That is an old opinion on Gruden from his NFL days. He preferred established veterans at QB like Gannon and Johnson. But look at the jump in production from those guys when he was coaching them compared to before.
