I am thankful for all of you, for VolNation as a place to e-meet, and for the blessing of having been born in the land called Tennessee so that I could grow up bleeding Orange.

Good morning, and happy Thanksgiving, friends.

[I'm thankful for my lovely wife, wonderful daughters, family, friends and many other things as well, but those are boring for you so I'll leave that part off]

The complaint about him being in weak conferences doesn't hold much water either- they regularly played (and beat) the big boys.

I think Tennessee has to hire one of Peteresen, Patterson, or Gruden.

Has to. IMO.

No one is guaranteed to be a success or a failure. But I want to be genuinely excited about whoever it is.

Gruden excites me like no other. 10
Peterson would be like an 8.
Patterson 7
I do not want below 7.

Mullen on my excitement level is 1.

Honestly I'm almost freaking out that Gruden and Petersen are possibilities this time around. I have Petersen at a 9.5 but I've basically agreed with you on everything throughout this search. You're good people Behr!

I’ll also add John harbaugh as a name that excites me. Don’t think it happens, but since his name has been thrown out there I’ll say him, too.

I don’t post much but just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving Volnation! Hopefully we can all be thankful for Gruden in a few days.

Gruden to the Hill!!

Catching up a little from last night here’s my 2 thoughts on the fine Thanksgiving morning.

1. It seems like most “insiders” agree TN is ready to pay big and make a “homerun” hire. IMO Frost and Mullen aren’t those guys.

2. Lots of people hearing Frost and Mullen w/ a few Peterson’s thrown in. Which tells me this, lots of misinformation/smokescreens still coming out.

SOON

Please don't type ridiculous statements jordan. He was in the Mountain conference with Boise and now in the Pac12 which both are some of the weakest conferences in America.

Also, a comment on what LWS said. No way he leaves Washington. He was born in Cali and only left the west coast once (back in 1992) for only one year as a stepping stone. His name might be thrown around and not just for our job but multiple jobs. Just his agent doing his job.

1987–1988 UC Davis (freshman)
1989–1991 UC Davis (WR)
1992 Pittsburgh (QB)
1993–1994 Portland State (QB)
1995–2000 Oregon (WR)
2001–2005 Boise State (OC)
2006–2013 Boise State
2014–present Washington

Never say never about nothin!

For what it's worth.

Im not as confident as some are on Gruden being a done deal, but...

I think our next coach is a done deal. I really don't think there is any question. It very well may not be Gruden, but there is just too much that makes sense that it is.

FTR and Just me, but reading "it's done, contract signed", means less to me than more.

Doing a quick drive-by before getting today started, didn't think I would see you, left you a little compliment earlier. You know if I would have known you I just bet I would have said the same thing to your guy about you that I said to B about Donna C.-G. Since I didn't ,best I can do is wish YOU and your entire family a wonderful Thanksgiving! I keep picturing Gruden eating Thanksgiving with orange checkerboard tablecloth. GOD bless, Pioneer Pete

I saw and responded to your first post this morning. You are too kind.

God bless you and yours, Pioneer Pete.

Gruden to the hill!!

I think Mullen would win just enough here to not get fired.

Happy Thanksgiving all! When it comes to being thankful for UT football related issues. I am thankful for a new chapter, if not book about to be written. I expect we will have a larger rebuild than I initially thought. By the end we will see TN restored to the place of prominence it has held historically.

Have a blessed day! GBO!!

With ya Behr. While these threads are great I'm keeping everything boxed in untill I see him at the podium.

I agree. I didn't mention him or Stoops because I don't think they are even a possibility. No holds barred..

Gruden 10
Stoops 9.75
Harbaugh 9.25

I am truly thankful for each and every one of you. Yes, every single one of ya. We all have one thing in common: our love for Tennessee. Let's try to remember that today.

Happy Thanksgiving to my Volunteer family! :)
