You know the Pellissippi State thing was a joke thing here that TOS picked up as fact right?

Yeah that is old hat, it's funny some coming in here with stuff that happened almost a month ago. Kinda like the guy coming in here saying the beav was a fake and didn't even know about AV vouching for him. That's when you can tell who has been a consistent reader throughout. SOON!!!!! GRUDEN ANNOUNCED AS HEAD COACH OF THE VOLS!!!!!!!!!

Scotch is an acquired taste. I get in the mood for it occasionally. I like Macallan 12. Good price to flavor ratio.

Petersen would absolutely be a home run hire.

Have you ever tried Islay scotch? it is different, has peat smoke in the flavor. I am intrigued with the history as well as the whisky, they have been making whisky longer than we have been a country.

I'll say this:

I'm old enough to remember Johnny wanting to come home after he won the NC with Tony D. at Pitt and have been going to Neyland since the early 80's.

As long as this has gone on and if Gruden backs out again.

Then Gruden is the most selfish / self centered and biggest UT troll of all time. He's had plenty of time to put out the fire, unless he's Currie's smoke screen for another big time hire and when I mean big time, I mean big time.

I will always bleed orange and make sure to watch the games, but UT will never get a dime from me or my family if they piss away this hire.

If they're putting another $340 mil into Neyland, then they sure got the money to get the absolute best coaching staff in the country.

No Mullen's or any other so so hires. It's time for Currie and the admin. to step up to the plate and hit a grand slam.

I'm still all Grude but if it fails, then Currie better have an ace up his sleeve.

If Currie tried to work things out with Grude with no holes barred and Gruden has just strung us along. Then Gruden can catch a brick to the head as far as I'm concerned.

As a lifelong Vols football fan, settling for just a better football program than the last 10 years will never be the goal.

Would be thrilled with Gruden at a 10 level. Petersen would be a 9.5. Would love to have him too, not gonna lie and if he's the ace up Currie's sleeve I can get behind it.

I've had it. The smokiness is good but it's a big flavor. Kind of like a heavy IPA. I can have one or two but that's about it.

Sounds about right, 8 would be decent, and 2 more than that the year after, our guys have a lot of coaching up that needs to be done, thanks to FCBJ and the previous gang

Our O-line next year will be sad with the exception of Trey Smith.

Anyone have Peyton's cell # ? he might know something .... seriously, if this ain't the Grude, then why all the mystery, just tell us that Mike friggin somebody is gonna be the coach and we can get back to figuring out what to do next fall besides watch the VOLS

We are riding in the same boat my friend.

This is an old story that has cracked me up for years... But I decided to take a little liberty with it given we need a little humor while we wait on the official Gruden announcement.

Butch's Bricklayer Accident Report...

This is Butch's bricklaying accident report that was summited upon his firing.

Dear AD Currie:

I am writing in response to your request for additional information in Block #3 of the lost football game reporting form. I put "Poor Planning" as the cause of my record. You asked for a fuller explanation, and I trust the following details will be sufficient.

I am a bricklayer by trade. On the day of the Georgia beat down, I was working alone on the roof of our six-story stadium. When I completed my work, I found I had some bricks left over which when weighed later were found to weigh 500 lbs.

Rather than carry the bricks down by hand, I decided to lower them in a barrel by using a pulley which was attached to the side of the upper deck.

Securing the rope at ground level, I went up to the roof, swung the barrel out and loaded the bricks into it. Then I went down and untied the rope, holding it tightly to insure a slow descent of the 500 lbs of bricks. You will note on the accident reporting form that my weight is roughly 225 lbs.

Due to my surprise at being jerked off the ground so suddenly, I lost my presence of mind and forgot to let go of the rope. Needless to say, I proceeded at a rapid rate up the side of the stadium.

In the vicinity of the third level, I met the barrel which was now proceeding downward at an equally impressive speed. This explains the fractured skull, minor abrasions and the broken collarbone, as listed in Section 3, accident reporting form.

Slowed only slightly, I continued my rapid ascent, not stopping until the fingers of my right hand were two knuckles deep into the pulley which I mentioned in Paragraph 2 of this correspondence. Fortunately, by this time, I had regained my presence of mind and was able to hold tightly to the rope, in spite of the excruciating pain I was now beginning to experience.

At approximately the same time, however, the barrel of bricks hit the ground, and the bottom fell out of the barrel. Now devoid of the weight of the bricks, the barrel weighed approximately 50 lbs. I refer you again to my weight.

As you might imagine, I began a rapid descent down the side of the stadium. In the vicinity of the third level, I met the barrel coming up. This accounts for the two fractured ankles, broken tooth and severe lacerations of my legs and lower body.

Here my luck began to change slightly. The encounter with the barrel seemed to slow me enough to lessen my injuries when I fell onto the pile of bricks and fortunately only three vertebrae were cracked.

I am sorry to report, however, as I lay there on the pile of bricks, in pain, unable to move and watching the empty barrel several stories above me, I again lost my composure and presence of mind and let go of the rope.

Did you get that from the Gordon B. Hinckley conference talk?

I've read about them. Never had one. How are they?

Omission Pale Ale is my favorite, but the Lager is good too. Omission is brewed as regular beer but the gluten is removed so it tastes the most like normal beer since it's real beer. Ground Breaker tastes good also, and has lots of different flavors but is brewed with non gluten ingredients.
