Players have been told they will know who it is Saturday night.
Everyone who seems to know boosters is hearing announcements anywhere from Sunday to Tuesday. It really looks like there’s a decision in place.
If we get to Wednesday without a final announcement from Currie I’d say something went horribly wrong.

I think the sooner the press conference. The higher % it’s Gruden. I still say a press conference within 48 hours of Currie landing in Knoxville, means it’s Gruden.

Thanks Slice and if this is the case, I can't agree that I believe it's anyone with a college football coaching job right now. JMO

Had a grandfather that would reuse paper plates. Not the fancy Styrofoam ones, but the cheap, if you put biscuits and gravy on it, you're going to have your daily dose of fiber in one sitting ones.

This is a very unique coaching search. Usually there would be pretty solid reports leaking. When we hired Kiffin around this exact same time of year the leaks started coming out the Friday before the final game. Currie is really keeping everything under wraps.

Your an idiot! When he got to Washington it was all to pieces. Last season they was in playoffs and this season they wasn’t that fare way from it. Also look at Boise State and beat the Oregon’s, VT’s when they was both good and beat Oklahoma in a classic game. Not too many coaches can do what he did at Boise State with 2-3 star players.

Much different. Currie has a tight lid on things. Some people claim to still be getting info. I’m not. However, i trust my source who told me that Currie got his man. That was last week or so I think. Can’t remember the exact day.

I read somewhere that the Peterson camp contacted Currie a week or so before Butch was fired and let Currie know Petersen was interested, if the job became available.
If this is accurate, it would have given Currie a head start with back channel conversations.

That said, the Gruden camp was light years ahead of any candidate for this position. I want it to be Gruden but I will not be unhappy with Petersen. That dude is a proven winner. Does anyone have the gif of one of his players talking back to him during a game and Petersen walking toward him? That was classic "I'm in charge, not you".
