100%. Too much smoke for there to not be mutual interest. Fox Sports Knoxville was dropping Grumor bombs all afternoon yesterday, and now we get a report that Gruden may have turned the job down? Odd timing if you ask me. Just seems like we're being fed fake news to try to clear some smoke between Currie and Gruden on contract negotiations. I truly feel like our administration will not take no for an answer this time.

I pastor a small church in rural Indiana. I don't get paid because my wife is a dentist and we're doing okay, (I've had to swallow a lot of pride over the years).

Even though I don't get a salary, I do it because I love it. It's what I've been called to do. It would drive me crazy if I ever had to stop.

Maybe it's the same thing with Gruden. People wonder why he would leave a nice, comfortable job to go back into coaching. But if that is what he loves, then it would make less sense for him to stay away. Some people work at a job and some people work for their passion. It is a blessing when they're the same.

The silence and attempt to scuttle the fury is encouraging.

Can someone give me a brief synopsis on the love for Jon Gruden? Why are our fans fascinated with this man? He has a record of 100-85 as a head coach...

I'm not discouraged by the apparent lull. I'm actually encouraged. Doesn't it make sense that things would get quiet at some point? Somebody's doing work.

It is funny that new posters with < 200 posts (i.e., limited/no credibility) make some claim and folks take it as gospel and run with it being the latest truth.
