That is BS.... If in fact the deal was "really really close" then they would make it happen.
I been practicing law for over 20 years and I and no attorney I have ever known let a deal go undone when it was really really close!
If the deal doesn't happen, it actually means that it wasnt close at all.

This line up with what you heard boro? I know when some one else broke the ESPN info earlier you said their info aligned with what you had heard. That JG was looking to get out of there.
As a lawyer, you should know to look at all options of why a deal didnt happen.
sweet molasses and buttermilk biscuits.
has anyone vetted this dude? are we believing him or not? if so then i will have to call a doctor by midnight for having an erection lasting more than 4 hours.
Agreed.Any of you that believe you would hear anything creditable before Jones termination are crazy. Do you really think with something this big, a million dollar donor would share information with a football forum poster to leak out? Start watching closely Sunday. One guy on here is being vastly overlooked. If he says the deal is not off the table trust him. Otherwise wait, too much speculation and rumors. If they were close, very close with the amount of money involved, do you really think they allow the man to walk with what would be for the second time?
And I consult with the AmLaw 100. Totally agree . Some of these descriptions of negotiations and high level recruitment are hysterical . My sense is there was a channel of communication established . Interest to keep a channel open expressed back nothing more till protocol allows . Just my two cents..
