Question, If Chucky was concerned with compliance, dealing with NCAA regulations, recruiting, classes, etc. then why would he WANT to be AD or de facto AD? You really think he wants to be in charge of women's soccer also?

Cant Gruden just make a youtube video or something and say he isn't interested...Have we really heard anything OFFICIAL from him??

"de facto AD" meaning he's in complete control of FOOTBALL operations.

Dave Hart is in charge of everything else.

Risk? If he jumps in and succeeds his approval rating goes up 30 points. If he jumps in and fails his approval rating goes up 15 points. Not much of a political risk there. Now it could affect his relationship with UT and ability to work with the BOT in the future and some other things, so I'm not saying he'll do it, and if he did do it it would most likely be behind the scenes anyway.

Well obviously today was wrong, I was hopeful that the info on this part was correct. I apologize for this.

After talking to several people this afternoon, I am still not giving up. I still believe that this will get done.

Before some of you flame, and you will, go back and read I-III and read some of the details about saving the day.

I have been following since late in the first thread. The last couple of weeks this thread has seen a lot of newcomers following. The masses have been calling for public info from news sources or statements from UT or Gruden. Now this week we have it and many are saying it is over and the sky is falling.

It is just beginning. It is playing out just as the OG's said that it would. There is much info out that does not pass the smell test to me. I will continue to follow this thread and the OG's postings, if they will even post any more, until this play has ended.

However it ends, it will have been an awesome ride.

Worked nightshift before I got on my iPhone I had a full Grude then woke up before 12 and lost my Grude. Fans make sure you take your Gruden every 4 hrs so your Grude does not go down.

I posted that in Gruden X. I really know nothing. But I looked at it from a different point of view. I still think this might be in play somewhat. While the players might not be the same, the game seems to be afoot. I think there might be a huge power struggle going on that results in some major changes.

Maybe a good foundation from which to build a wonderful fictional comedy upon, but I believe the chances of this happening are greater than hitting the powerball multiple times consecutively IMO. Good news though, perhaps through all of this emotional distress that has been UT sports recently, you have somehow become attuned to your creative side. Based on the way things are going, it appears that if you start writing now, you could have your first best seller ready by the time Hart finally announces the HC.

The boosters will get their way at the end of the day. They're tired of paying for UT's admin screw-ups. It was very clear that the $18m would be covered by boosters via donations to the University. They're not going to give Hart and Cheek $18m+ for Hart and Cheek to give them the finger and hire a guy the boosters do not want.

At the end of the day you cannot bite the hand that feeds you. If Gruden sincerely does not want the job, fine lets all move on, but if our admin is bucking the boosters and fans.. well, as yay4bray said, they will have to answer to higher powers.

Does anyone besides me think Gruden is not going to say anything until he gets that last buyout check from Tampa Bay? Could this all be smoke in mirrors until then?? Just curious.

I still support you and the other OG's just like I did before..Yeah, I did give up and throw in the towel at first, but then my day changed for the better..Point is now I have a glimmer of hope.:)
