Hey! Glad we're all 7 years old here. The fate of Big Orange Football hangs in the balance, so...
let's ask questions we don't really mean and trick people.
Congratulations.

I am a "preponderance of evidence" kind of guy and do not like the way today is unfolding. By the end of the day today I am planning to take a firm stance. Logically speaking I can say I am no better then 50-50. Say what you want, the VQ article is very very bad and I read it as a quasi-press release. I expect UT to address it further today through an official release if the VQ story is spot on.
I haven't talked to anyone today but the mood among other believers at work is somber right now at best.
Ok,
I hear it's done but Hart wants it to look like it's a legitimate interview process and hire that He's responsible for And not something the boosters did. I'm now not confident when the announcement will be.
Harts really pissing me off.
Just make the D@mn announcement for the love of all things Holy!!!!
How do you know how much was hung out? We know UTAD inside sources say 2.9 mil to pay. That want get you a Gruden or Stoops or SabanWhat is there to lose?
In the end, if its not Gruden, I fear that not a single soul will be happy with what me might have to end up with.
The saddest of affairs is if we hang out so much money and not a single top notch coach wants it, then UT Football is done. We are not as great of a destination as we all want to believe.
Been a member for a while...hardly ever post though. Been reading and following this thread for 2 weeks now non-stop. I want to pose a question for the OG's or anyone that been around for a bit...
If the Gruden deal has in fact fallen through, who would be the absolute best possible and most realistic candidate that we could pursue, that would not only succeed at UT, but also that us fans would accept? I'm trying to think of others beside Golden or Strong (which have been mentioned a lot) because I just don't think they could be the answer. I'm still all Gruden though until I hear from Hart or Gruden that's its not happening. I'll hang up and listen...

I still concur something odd is going on:
1. Gruden backed out at the 11th hour.
2. There is some internal rumbling going on between the UTAD and boosters.
3. Gruden is still coming, and the strangest misdirection campaign of all time is being conducted which will leave a lot of explaining to do behind closed doors.
At this point, I have no idea which of the three options is true, but I am concerned.
He may be, but he said he is 100% through the announcement. If everyone believes him, why do they have to keep asking? My problem isn't with Boro, it's with the whiney babies that need their pacifier for some reassurance. He isn't wavering until a coach is signed.
