Hart should address this publicly. Go all in like Ark. did with Miles. They tried. Hart is allowing this to fester.

I'm puzzled by that part. He surely new how much impact on fans this was having. As Barney said "Nip it in the Bud" but he let it get way out of control. Maybe we will find out down the road.

I would not believe anything coming from Knoxville now other than Hart himself.

Hart is a freakin genius for how this is transpiring.

It is dead only when we have a warm body, other than gruden, accepting the Job.

Exactly, I will believe it when the UTAD releases an official statement. If what Volquest said is true then they will 100% do that today, probably very soon.

That article is the most disturbing piece yet from the media. Sounded pretty matter of fact, like it came from Hart. Not good imo, but not a fact until it proves true.

That report from Hubbs is written like a press release and uses quotation marks--IOW it's not just something Hubbs wrote after having a conversation with someone. It's something he sent back and forth or that was sent to him in written form to begin with. Combine that with the source being "someone very close to the search process" and that is the functional equivalent of an official statement. "Very close" is journalistic code for "the guy in charge" or at worst his deputy. They use "familiar with" or "with knowledge of" for people somewhat more removed. Maybe things can change. Maybe it's an intentionally false official statement (though that would seem crazy). But those of you that don't think those words were blessed by Hart are fooling yourselves.

** NEWSFLASH **

This only seems CRAZY to those of us on this message board (this thread specifically) and listeners to Ainge/Basilio/Hyams radio shows...

To most of the UT fanbase and the rest of the sports world, there is VERY LITTLE going on...

I think we all need to relax and step back off the ledge and let it play out.

I am as full-Grude as anyone, but this is past the point of ridiculous.

That would be moronic. They should just release a surprise official statement.

Can you imagine if they were to schedule a press conference to announce that the Gruden rumors are false? Imagine the hours leading up from the announcement to the actual press conference.... Yeah.

Good grief people, he didn't want the moon, he didn't want full control..he just didnt want the job. Typical human behavior you build a guy up..deny any negative information about him..but when he turns you down you turn on him in a heartbeat. Fake outrageous demands, fake real interest, the media was clueless and the fans were grasping at straws but it was a fun ride.

Wait, what if Nov. 30 was the scheduled day for the grand mis-direction. Hart comes in saves the day, then its announced Gruden as coach in December as originally thought. Just an idea.

This times 1000, this is crazy. Guys have been coming in here quoting local reporters, that everyone has said they are out of the loop. Other sources start quoting Hyams and now this thread implodes. Until something comes out from ESPN (Gruden's employer), Dave Hart or Gruden himself, this is not over.

I would love to have your thoughts on the possibility of Hart remaining silent until that December date Boro. Has it got to the point that he has to say SOMETHING, or will he just lie back and wait to drop the a-bomb

Sorry for jumping the gun, I read it as official statement the first time I read it. I had heard that this deal was not done and nothing was happening today, so when I saw this my heart sunk and thought it confirmed what I was hearing.

Hope the two sides can come back together and try to get the deal done after Hart interviews other candidates and knows what his other options/choice is.

Everything was close to leaking, so they had to get a report out that he wasnt coming, to not interfere with the TB payout. Gruden will be here! Have faith in the OG's
