A buddy just called me and said CBS is reporting Gruden in Knoxville right now????!?!? Any truth to this statement? My anxiety can't take it

Boom Boom Boom.Just had a 4 year letterman text me this am.It said Today.I text him back I thought it would be Mon. or Tues.He text me back No today just got off the phone with his former roomie that happens to be a 20yr. employee in the UTAD.Anouncement for a pc coming this am. UT officials reached out to Jon Gruden's agent for meeting today but Gruden canceled meeting - don't know why. Could reschedule later

Jon Gruden is out as UT candidate. Informed UT recently after phone talks last week. UT never offered contract, source said.

Unlikely. ESPN never breaks news with regards to any of their current employees. See the Urban Meyer hiring by OSU last year. ESPN was basically the last ones to report the news.

Hyams reported that Gruden declined over the phone last week? So if that is true, why hasn't the AD came out and said so? Typically you would want to quell such rumour by making a concerted effort to do so, if you don't you set the next guy (be it Fisher, Stoops or whomever) to be very underwhelming, which is not what the fanbase needs right now.

Guys he does not want to coach here. I believe money isn't an issue. He just doesn't want to coach college. This is typical Gruden stringing teams along acting like he has with every other team that's came calling. Again I hope I'm wrong.

Honestly with his Track Record I would be scared to death if this were the case. He's almost NEVER right with Coaching Searches.
