And an avalanche in recruiting next week. Jay Graham gets much credit. This thing could not have turned out better.

Imagine all the recruits reading and watching the SEC championship and seeing Jon Gruden new head football coach university of Tennessee. Phone ringing of the hook for scholarship offers!

Saban takes a dump in his pants.
Spurrier slams his visor.
Muschamp is cussing.

That is the ultimate question:

If true, why does Dave Hart not want Jon Gruden?

Dave Hart isn't an idiot.

That's the answer, IMO. Dave Hart isn't an idiot, so there's not many (if any) logical reasons why he wouldn't want Jon Gruden, given the circumstances. We've been presented no evidence that he really went after anyone in particular.

Furthermore, if this deal with Gruden has been in the works since at least the spring, and Hart wasn't on board then, don't you think that he would not be standing on the tracks as the train came through? He'd either be on board, or out of town.

It would make zero sense for it to be true. It's just a story concocted by impatient fans to find a scapegoat.

The post stating it should be removed from the Cliffs Notes. Guy does not even say he has any kind of source.

If this is in fact true and everything finally comes to fruition, just remember that 13 is my lucky number. You're welcome, VN.

I will leave this to the traditional night shifters.

I'm usually up at 4am so I get to watch their work. Always quality.

Here's hoping this continues...

Yes it has. But my point is that no AD is just going to lay down and give up everything at the beginning of a negotiation. Institutional control is a huge card to give up.

Hart would never give it up anyway. The control Gruden would have would be in his head. He knows he HAS to have oversight for NCAA reasons, and the fact he can't screw up while we are on probation. The control thing is overblown.

I'm sorry, but didn't I see you in the "let's be realistic, it's not Jon Gruden" thread? Forgive me if I have you confused with someone else.

Nope, that's me. I still don't think he is coming... However, I would still give anything for him to come!
