I want more links! (No homo)

I don't think we get Gruden without Hart's support, though. That awkward feeling when a guy who was responsible for hiring you resigns because he didn't want you there. I think that would be enough to scare Gruden away.

IDk. This is taking a toll on me.

This dynamic between the AD/Dave Hart is interesting as hell.

It is, but boosters have always signed off on all hires, and essentially approve or disapprove of them. My guess, they weren't going to go after anyone else, because they KNOW Gruden will make back all the money lost in the past season, probably before the season is half over. Gruden's economic impact just doesn't stop at the football level, but at the school level as well. Think about how many kids want to go to school where Gruden is coaching football.

Anyone buying this angle? I heard something about it 2 weeks ago, but thought it was just another silly rumor.
(about Hart supposedly quitting if Gruden were hired)

He'd be a fool. Stay, and take all the credit. Memories are short, and can often be out-shouted.

KNS finally came out with a report...

LMFAO!!!

My friend is literally gasping for air every time I call her.

That's what they get for being in the AD's pocket.

Did they come out with it in time for this morning's paper? If so, they will save some face.

Not when the guys footing the bill made you their one and only choice.

Talking about dominating the news cycle. Friday Sportscenter, Saturday on College Gameday and SEC championship game, Nfl guys would discuss Sunday, plus MNF. Please let it be!

And an avalanche in recruiting next week. Jay Graham gets much credit. This thing could not have turned out better.

Shocker. What we have been saying for a month now is finally getting out.

But I thought the local media said this couldn't happen?

We have seen through this all along. The money is running this thing. Nice try Hart. Nice try Hyams. The Vols are coming back an there's nothing you can do or say to stop us.

I agree. Right now I think it's unwise to judge Hart. No way of knowing what the real deal is or even if he's really upset. For all we know it could be a ruse or another rumor thrown out there for more smoke. Hell, this whole thing is so damned confusing. Heck, maybe (if this turns out good) Hart *is* a hero in all this, or the boosters, or hell, I give up. Just hope they land him. Then again, the way this whole thing has gone down so far who knows what could happen.

Agree..To believe anything we have read anywhere in the last two weeks would be a mistake.

From my perch, this is all somewhat strange. So I'll just tell you what I have been through the last two hours and see what you think.

1. At 10p, I got two simultaneous, unsolicited texts from a primary source (booster side) telling me the deal was off. No details. Nothing. I've still got nothing else from that end. But I held off because of crap like this.

2. TFP publishes article saying legit offer was on table for Gruden, directly quoting sources close to the deal.

3. At 12a, Babyvol says "It's done!"

4. At 12:30a Someone points me to a discussion on TOS where John Brice insinuates Hart may not stick around if Gruden is hired, and that he wants to go another direction.

You tell me?
Hence we have the new term you coined earlier tonight... information "Pretzel". Perfectly describes the situation. :hi:
