Jay, if you remember my post about a sportswriter I know in the Atlanta area, I can tell you there are rumblings starting tonight in the Atlanta media also. This now sounds really positive.

I wonder when the book on this story is going to be written?

The book is in the process of being written. Chapters 1-12 are done, 13 is in progress, and maybe a few more chapters yet to be written.

I would suggest it be titled, "The Gruden Chronicles - a VolNation Epic"

Okay I'm going to let you guys know a little bit about myself personally so you don't go jumping off ledges tomorrow.

I know 2 people that are behind the scenes at WBIR and KNS. They don't write, they don't report.

They tell me what they hear.

Anything you heard from me is regarding anything about this search is from them.

With that said:

KNS is scrambling.

...and both told me that Gruden is a done deal.

if Hart left, I think Blackburn would get the job, possibly Fulmer. I wouldnt expect an outside hire unless a guy like Charles Davis or Reggie McKenzie would be interested but I would say HIGHLY unlikely. If Gruden came I would look for Blackburn to be AD, jmo. I dont see Hart leaving, would be fine if he did. Nothing against him, but I wouldnt want any AD who would hire Strong, Golden, and some of the other names we've been hearing; over Jon Gruden. UT has a rich history of AD's passing on future stars (Sumlin, Kelly, Bill Self, to name a few)

If its true gruden wanted complete control over compliance without AD supervision then that's a start. If Haslam made him conceded that control them he could have taken his ball and went home. In that happened I don't blame him

Just speculating here, but let's entertain the idea that the Big Money guys said "Dave, this is happening. Get on board or GTFO." Exit Dave Hart. Possible?

This just my personal opinion but I've felt like the boosters have wanted to move and take back the university for awhile just me though nothing to support it

Regarding Hart possibly quitting over Gruden being Hired, I thought some of the OG's were saying Hart wanted to look like a hero when the deal was done? If he wanted to look the hero, like he saved the day, why would he quit?

Chattanooga would have probably not gotten the story if he was still there.
