I have to ask the question...

Am I the only one that thought it almost sounded like M&M were poking at JG? Almost like they were making fun of him and the situation..

Again it could have been the way I took it as I see though orange colored glasses...:hi:

And Gruden's reaction was like what you do when someone starts telling and embarrassing story about you and then you try to change the subject.

I know im going to get a lot of grief here with this post and i admit im new to the forums but hear me out,

At what point and time do we quit begging and throwing money at people/coaches in hopes they will come pretend to bleed orange for us, Fulmer bleeds orange and is one of us if you look at his record over the 17 years when he was here he smokes almost any possible coach we could hire, I understand its a business and you can say what ya want but at the end of the day i want someone who respects UT and its great history and wants to win not to keep his job but because he bleeds orange as well.

Yeah, you will catch a lot of grief, but if all else fails, then I will likely fall in line with you if we are in dire straits and looking at mediocre ACC coaches or MAC standouts.

For anyone that cares what I have to say, I would say this:

A few days ago the Jimmy Hyams's of the world were saying no chance on Gruden. Now they say something fell through today. Funny how thigs change, huh? Don't worry about these rumors. Rumors that come from puppets aren't worth listening to.

I still believe Gruden is coming and am not deterred by any of these "reports". A few of you smarter posters seem to know how much Cindy Gruden is a factor. Cindy will be one of many MVPs on this deal.

Oh, one more thing:
This vol reporter fellow? Well, frankly I think he is an idiot.

I know the talks are underway. My family source is out right now busy with some Christmas gathering at Rockefeller center. It's on television to on NBC kind of fun.

I'm guessing in about 2 hours i'll start hearing things.

Alright.. been holding onto this for a while. I know I'm new, but take it or leave it.

After the loss to Florida, I had a friend at church whose sister (cue people flaming..) used to work in UTAD tell me that some of her old coworkers had been talking. They said that UT was working on making room in the budget for $5 million over 3 years ($15 Mil total) to bring in Jon Gruden. Now, this was the day after Dooley's first loss of the year, but according to her, UT had been working on this a while (Which fits the general timeline of starting talks with JG in the spring).

I laughed at my friend. Told my other friends that he was bullcrapping and making it up. Why would UT be firing Dooley after 1 loss. It didn't add up.

Fastforward to last week where Cheek moves $6 Million a year for three years into the budget ($1 Million more that I originally was told). My mind gets blown. My buddy was right.

So for all the nega-grudes out there, listen up. I know I'm gonna take shots for this because I only have about 35 posts, but here's the deal:

From all of the OG's info and the most recent 'Hart is the Hero' drama unfolding, I believe this thing has been a large scale Dave Hart scheme from the beginning. There have been strings pulled, meetings had, alum like the Haslams and Mannings involved to make it happen.

I personally think this is the most strategic event in UT football history, and Hart will end up being the hero. Jon Gruden will come in, and he will win. UT will come back to national prominence. Saban will have no answer, he'll be second fiddle to the greatest college football coach of all time. That man being, Jon Gruden.

I troll you not.

It amazes me how much more public everyone else's search is compared to ours.

Are we searching? All we know for sure is Hart was at TBA yesterday, there's a nice Escalade on standby at the airport, Chucky is sleeping on the couch tonight, and WREG in Memphis is still citing mad libs as a source.

I have more tidbits... I just spoke with another person in Memphis that is in broadcasting. She is an Arky alum and parents have deep ties there. Unsure where her source is coming from (assuming being in the media) but she continues to not give me information but is giving hints. She has even gone as far as responding to a couple of my FB posts leading me to believe the OGs are still right. She has said that the things i have discussed are accurate. The path may be different but the result will be the same! I still believe it will happen!

Wonder why things are always more positive and rational after 8 pm. Although I doubt his wife will decide where he coaches. I still think we got our man!

My wife is ready to divorce me. A few minutes ago, my 10 year old son was watching the news and yelled at me that they had discovered something new on Mars. My reply was, "If it wasn't Jon Gruden, I don't care." I need help.

But it's true! (about Gruden) Go Vols!!!!!
