How would that be a win for Dave Hart? He could hire Jimbo and then be fired within 2 years, so he doesn't have to deal with this stress anymore?

Keeps him from answering questions about who the hire is if not JG and keeps Jimbo or whoever out of the spotlight until their season is done.

So predictable isn't it?

It'll go back up this evening sometime... the OG's will come in and drop some good vibes. That will calm the natives for an hour or so. Then it will go back down. Around 3:30pm today, we will be at the very bottom. All the FF guys come in spewing their Hyams and Rucker venom. I just sit back and watch the show. Gruden is coming!

I guess all the kiddies are home from school by then.

In no particular order...

And Tennessee was #9/10 and depending on the year, #9 ahead of Georgia.

Exactly! That is amazing given its on "perception" alone, ...after having a debacle for coaching over the past four/five years. It doesnt consider our strength of in-state football program, the lack of "mega" MSAs (large cities), etc.

You put his comment, just on "perception" alone and his qualifiers, together with a few contending years, and we are top five/six...

Pure speculation on my part, but perhaps:

1. Didn't want to uproot the children. They did (still do) have kids in school, and many parents won't move their children without reason.
2. The Fired Football Coaches Association. The organization was founded by Jon and runs out of a Tampa office. Perhaps he didn't want to move it to another location
3. If you're traveling for work anyway, then why move away from the spot where you've already settled. Gruden was fired in Jan 2009 and hired by ESPN in May 2009, so he had a traveling job just a few months after the Bucs job.
4. The housing crash started in 2006-2007. Gruden was employed by the Bucs from 2002 - 2009. It could be that they would have had to sell their house at a loss at that time as the value could've fallen significantly from the time of their purchase.

All of none of these could've played into the decision. I'm just thinking of rational reasons that would've kept them from relocating.
You do realize this is simply a rented room in a strip mall and Gruden himself is the only 'staff' that exists. It's basically his own personal office/film room.

The AD needs to release a statement after the Mike & Mike debacle this morning.

Hate to agree with Basilio, but shame on them (Mike & Mike) for leaving this thing floating out there.
