Did you guys hear what that caller said on Tony B. about there being a possible issue with Gruden announcing he is going to be the coach of UT with him still getting paid by Tampa?

What do you guys think? May be why it's so quite...

Ainge brought up that point this morning.

Welcome to last week.

what time does it usually start back up.... or are we nearing the end of the track?

It'll go back up this evening sometime... the OG's will come in and drop some good vibes. That will calm the natives for an hour or so. Then it will go back down. Around 3:30pm today, we will be at the very bottom. All the FF guys come in spewing their Hyams and Rucker venom. I just sit back and watch the show. Gruden is coming!

I'm honestly perfectly okay with Auburn and Arkansas hiring their coaches before us...

Just so everyone can sit and wonder. And then BAM....we lay down the biggest hire of everyone.

It's like we're holding the Ace, and we're just waiting to show the nation that we have always had the winning hand.

Sounds great to me too.

Roller coaster about to go down...

New poster here. This has drawn me out of my shell and I am glued to this site. My kids are running feral right now and I feel the need for a drink.

Really? Then why all the talk about it being early Dec?

Because of MNF, early December being the 17th, when IIRC, he will be in Nashville for the Titans. Another angle of the story is all...then theres the 22nd, when his "season" with MNF actually ends...

IMO, this timetable better be hinging around some recruiting timeframes, or we will be sitting holding the shat paper...not saying it wont happen though...just needs to get on with it.

Here's the thing I struggle with in this whole Gruden saga, and keep in mind I really, really, really want him here. But one of the points people keep bringing up is that he'd take this job to get his wife back to Knoxville. Here's my problem with that. He's been out of coaching since 2008. He works for ESPN, from what I can tell he leaves on saturday to go to where MNF is and comes back to Tampa on tuesday mornings. TAMPA. That's where they've chose to make their home. They could be living in Knoxville, or close by, if they wanted to, but they've CHOSE to remain in Tampa. I just don't see that as being one of the major points.

Valid point. But, it could be that he has been reluctant to come back to Knoxville knowing full well he wanted to return to coaching, and up until now, he wasn't sure where that might be. It could easily be that this is his final destination, and he has decided this will be his last stop, win or lose. He coaches again at UT and his wife goes home.

Not sure if this is it, but it sounds good...

ESPN completely twisted the order in which he says those words. They are also counting that as a denial. Amazing because they considered the browns thing legit then turned around and posted the browns statement saying it was false. So gruden denied something that couldn't have been offered?
