There aren't any top qbs coming out this year. Matt Barkley was exposed and the only other qb that could go ahead of Bray is Wilson. I could easily see him going in the first round. Teams are willing to take chances on qbs, its happened the past two drafts with Tannehill, Ponder, and Gabbert.
I agree with BC that Bray has the physical tools. I watch Peyton a lot on Sundays (I know, the gold standard), and I would like to see Bray come back and work on the following: (1) mechanics:he has a tendency to throw from his hip, which leads to high throws under pressure; (2) understanding and adapting to defenses; and (3) better management/throws according to down/distance.
And, he needs to show he can complete a two-minute drill with the game on the line. This is his most glaring deficiency right now.
Not for any arguement either way. But where is Landry Jones projected? You think Sam Bradfords experience will keep his stock down? He seems like he has been at Oklahoma for a decade now.
More of the massive hit his draft stock took after Vandy imo. Every NFL scout knows he has the best arm in college football but the questions about his leadership, attitude, and game "Generalship" were all answered in front of the wrong people at Vandy and the answer wasn't good.
Before that game I would have put him in the top 2 QBs coming out of the combine, and things could change, but as of right now I am certain he will return.
This person knows nothing about Tyler Bray.
Bray will be back next year, book it, but this post is garbage.
Set your Gruden meter on cruise control and enjoy the ride.
Actually, no its not. I was a bartender in Knoxville my whole time at UT. At one of the craziest bars there is.
Bray is a huge partier. It is more of a problem than you think.
Here's a list for you of the UT players that probably ruined themselves because they wanted to go out and get wasted and hunt chicks every night.
1) Crompton (trust me, it was bad)
2) Ainge
3) Janzen
4) Hardesty ( great guy, but was in my bar every weekend.)
5) Haynesworth
6) Cedric Wilson
7) Bray
8) Rick Clausen (not that he was good anyways)
Seriously, our problem at quarterback has been all mental. These guys would rather get wasted and chase tail than play QB. Believe it or not, but ive seen it, and much worse behind the scenes.
Barkely and Wilson, probably. I highly highly doubt the others will go ahead of Bray. Bray has the physical tools you can't teach. He will do great in the combine and a team will take a chance on him
Ill accept my apology next year bc after bray is benched the guy is not a leader and has a ****t* westcoast attitude that's not gonna fly under gruden
