I thought all the coaches drove a Lexus, due to the ad having a deal with Lexus of Knoxville. Also not sure it would be good for us to be getting escalades for recruits to drive or ride around in. I haven't read the NCAA rule book, but that seems like a nono.

If you re-read it, I'm pretty sure it is chauffeuring purposes...not as a loaner or anything.

You are right for the coach's personal cars but I believe I've seen them roll in Escalades during game day. I could be wrong. I'm hoping that this falls into the "pay for transportation" to campus clause below. I think limos aren't allowed but not sure about Escalades. I highly doubt compliance would let anything slip by at this juncture. Who knows this guy could be FOS too.

I am certain that a coach or university representative could pick up a recruit at the airport in an escalade and tour them around and it be well within NCAA rules. I am also certain if they have the recruit and or family that escalade for the weekend for their own use it would be a violation,

I don't know if this information was correct or not... but there is a lot of BS in this thread... it is getting harder every day to decipher the good from the bad.

I believe the Gruden story but I don't believe 50% of the the stories about Gruden...if you understand

I certainly agree. You know me I enjoy looking at all the stories and deciding if there is even a possibility of them being true.
