My guess is that the itch can't be bought and this isn't about money. If indeed he misses the competition like I suspect he does nothing espn does will matter.

Another complete conversion story. This one by Televol in the Cliffs Notes. So funny to see so many people who couldn't believe or scoffed at the beginning make a post like this. Happens about once a day.

I can't say what it is I do.....but I do work with a company directly connected to Tennessee athletics. Sorry to be so vague, but I have to be.

I heard today that it's a done deal. I don't know all the specs, just that an agreement is in place and ready to roll.

I don't know if a piece of paper has actually been signed yet, so crazy things could happen if not.

But my direct source says done.

I just find it hard to believe that they will allow the chance for Tennessee to be one of the dominate teams in the NCAA.

All u have to do is find out what planes the big $$$ boosters and where they fly into at McGhee - Tyson Airport (& Island Home). There aren't that many private planes over there at either place.

Could be pretty easy to have a person stationed at every hanger at McGhee Tyson and Island Home.

He said that usually for that they send the base model. However, he was told today to go and detail the nicest Escalade that they had because someone from UT was going to be using it to pick up a "very special guest" at the airport on Sunday. He also said it was an extended edition because they were probably bringing family. Now, this could obviously be any coach, but I just figured it was some nice information to pass along to my VN family.

Also I'm pretty sure giving an escalade to a recruit would be a violation.

I think it's pretty telling that all of this misdirection is coming out now. Seems like a deal has been made and now they're focusing fully on damage control. Jay, Boro, Carter, Lex, OV, SBV, Slice, VFL1, or Y4B, tell me if i'm just thinking like an idiot. I just remember someone saying to expect LOTS of misdirection when nearing an announcement.
