None of that means we are certain to get him, but it tells me Hart is trying. I could care less about an announcement timeline because I know his departure from ESPN wont be pretty, and I dont think that door closes quickly. But I still believe the signs point to Gruden regardless of any other speculation one way or the other. And if not then God knows what they are doing because nothing else makes sense.

I mostly agree. I would only differ that he would have to have more than a "target" in mind to forego a formal search. He would have to be almost certain he had his man locked up IMO.

I hate to see our fanbase go through another big let down, after all we've been through over the past several years, but I think that's where we are headed.
It appears we have been misguided by a bunch of charlatans that were not insiders before this whole Gruden stuff began and continue to not be insiders no matter how much approval they seek from message boards.
I'm prepared to eat crow if I'm wrong, though I highly doubt that goes both ways.

You might be surprised. Then again you could be spot on. It seems many heavily compensated coaches have large salarys with manageable buyouts. On the other hand poorly compensated have large buyouts. Saban & Muschamps buyouts are closer to Kiffins was here than Dooleys or Fulmers.

Not arguing with you here. The term charlatan bothers me. If that's the case, Clay Travis, Ron Higgins, Erin Andrews, Dan Patrick, many more credible media members are "charlatans" then. There is more smoke here than just some Posters on a message board.

common courtesy is few and far between in this thread. With those that are disagreeing with the insiders are calling BS and saying they are FOS and all this is in uncalled for. Just because you do not have sources, doesn't mean they do not either. If you disagree do it cordially, because you may find out that you have a whole pile of crow to eat. Take a lesson from Bruinvol, he is skeptical and maybe slightly persistent, but he asks his questions and states his differences cordially. The "insiders" have repeatedly been cordial and some should learn to follow suit...

I can understand some peoples stance that they will not believe anybody on the net without proof.
I also think there are just a lot of jacka$$ out here that would argue about the sky being blue. Not just on volnation, but everywhere.

I thank you for the info you bring. If your info comes to fruition, great. If not it has been a fun ride.

Many people on volnation have ran off good poster just because they have to constantly stir the pot.

Erin Andrews has a bet that he is NOT coming here. One of her friends told her to warm up her vocal chords, inferring that he was coming here, but she reiterrated that she still though he was not coming here.
However, the "inside" spin was that she really knows that he is coming here, even thought SHE says he isn't. That's the kind of stuff that bothers me.

My point is there is smoke and she is hearing it. She has given her opinion that he will not be here.

There's a lot of bad info going around via overzealous boosters. I don't doubt people on here have heard "it's done" and all that but it's not true.

To the guy who said Stoops was just as big a long shot, this is spot on. When you think of all of the so called home run hire coaches, Gruden is probably the most attainable.
