I don't know if it is credible but lots of FB posting activity that Gru is spotted at Knox.

I guess of true the media hounds would be all over it?

Caller on TB talked to a former peewee coach who donates money to UT. He was told it's a done deal. $5.2M/yr. Book it, because that guy sounded totally credible.

I agree with that. His show is the most entertaining local show probably because he isn't hindered with the parameters of actual facts

Its never been about e-cred for me at all. I report what I hear, well what I hear from reputable sources. If I named them I would instantly get more credibility but at the expense of friendships that mean infinitely more than being believed in cyberspace.

I will say the attitudes and unfounded flaming have cost this board more information than you realize. There is now a text circle that info is shared on, and only the vaguest hints are shared on here. Just food for thought.

We all will lose the press conference that's for sure. They are other very solid potential hires out there that will make us far from losers if gruden isn't hired.

I fully believe we are past the point of "hitting snags" or anything of the sort. Media needs confirmation from UT to report things, and that is in short supply unless you are Hart or Cheek.

I'm 100% behind you and the other OG's. I have been following what you and a few others have been laying out and it has occured exactly and in order as you all have said. The only variance was Dooley being fired before Kentucky instead of after, but I see that as the AD having their hand forced if they wanted anyone to show up for the Kentucky game.

Go VOLS and I look forward to the announcement for our new head coach. Jon Gruden!!! :salute:

I agree with your post. If this does not happen then I think some of the donations may back out and we will end up with a B level coach. Not sure that the big money would be as enthusiastic over a Fisher or Stoops and we would move down the list.

I haven't seen ANY poster give an exact date as fact, rather things that are heard or things some have been told. It is all guessing on dates, but everyone I know expects it to happen between today and middle-late next week. Not because someone told us about an announcement date, but rather who all knows the information in the national media that are not known to sit on stories like this.

Noone would be happy that we did not get Gruden. The only crap you guys swearing he is a done deal and have been for weeks will get is for being FOS. It's all hope and nothing to support it but fake claims of "insiders" on the board. I love reading the posts that swear everything that says Gruden is coming is accurate and everything saying he is not is a lie. "I just know it". LOL
We all a sudden have about 25 "insiders" on here. It's crazy how they all a sudden showed up with info. :eek:lol:

When you swear it's going to heppen and it does not, expect to catch some shi*.

It has been posted here before, but I don't remember who. I believe it was the guy who told about the meetings with Manning and the others. He was chased of the board and hasn't been back. Turns out he was correct about the meetings. So this is why I believe this to be a possibility.

I was thinking about the bottom part of your post the other day. Great job to guys who flame on insiders, you really do make everything worse.

I think Gruden is the express elevator to relevancy where there are good coaches that can get us there just not as quickly.
