The last thing I heard was the part about studying the college level... I missed that about keeping him at ESPN and they started to say something about Chip Kelly? what did he say?

In the NFL Gruden would be just another coach
In college Gruden will be a rockstar and hyped up to no end.

Which one would you choose?

Mort said there are things about the college game that intrigues Jon and there are things he doesn't like as well. I'm sure a playoff is appealing to him. As far as coach's salaries issue, a playoff would generate LARGE sums of money. Coaches will demand to have their piece of the pie. It's a business and in college the coach is the product.

Like I said...for that...Toss a coin...lots of folks argue different ways...

Me personally, I think they are going to get it right this time...they have to, or they may as well dismantle everything and build another Ed building on the site...this fanbase is hungry, its tired, its fed up...its not the matresses burning I worry about anymore...its the AD...

As for my job...we usually know who is coming a few weeks in advance...and it happens...every time...

A gruden hire in the NFL would be far from just any other hire. It would get plenty of attention.

Does anyone know if the $9 million, that is being rumored from different sources, is being put out as as a diversion so when the real money amount is announced and it is quite a bit less than $9 mil. but more than we have paid before it won't be such a shock and people will look at the figure more favorably?
