How was Ainge toeing the company line doing ad the ad told him last week saying no gruden, today hart is under serious pressure to keep things quiet, and now today saying its gruden and will be announced next week????!

When Dr. B. puts something out about UT it usually has the ring of strong credibility to it. He is right almost always when it comes to UT and predicting moves such as this.

I wouldn't go that far! However if B is talking about Gruden he is going against his normal act. B could be talking about...Saban, Jimmy Johnson or Bill Parcells and that would fit his m.o. I give him the benefit of the doubt this time and think he is spot on and is calling Gruden.

I'm not familiar with the radio personalities in Knox, but I believe he is a sports guy at The Animal. Just posting FWIW

Good Morning. Thanks for all the info Boro, Lex, Coasty, Eric, GMAN and others. It's hard to get any info down here in Miami except Cane, FSU or Gator stuff!!! Thanks for keeping me informed on whats going on.

P.S. The hatin down here in Miami is already going on. My co-workers who are all Cane fans including one who is a former Cane RB are all telling me crap about Gruden and he only won because of Dungy's players at Tampa Bay yada yada yada and ragging me about my beloved Vols. Our time is coming and I can't wait to be back where we frekin belong!!!!!!!

I'm sick of hearing about Notre ****ing Dame already.

I forgot how bad it was in the media (local and national) when Notre Dame is good.

As much as I hate Alabama, I'm gonna have a hard time not rooting for them to destroy ND and send them back to the pathetic existence they've endured the last 20+ years (if thats the NC matchup of course). Heard on the radio yesterday that if that game was played tomorrow Vegas would have Alabama as about a 10 point favorite.

When asked about Gruden to UT the other day, Tim Brown said that there was no chance it would happen. He said if he didn't take the Notre Dame job a few years ago, he isn't taken any college job.
Then he said "At least he has some history with Notre Dame"

I was like thinking "Really Tim? Really?"

It could even be as simple as a press release, with a presser at later date. I believe the desire is to leverage the publicity surrounding the SECCG as well as get the name out prior to the dead period in regards to recruiting.

I guess the reason I ask is I thought you were defending Ainge last week and saying he was a decent reporter when he was saying NO to Gruden??? Am I wrong or is that the case...
