Strong wouldnt unite fanbase at all. After Gruden, I'd say Mora Jr and Stoops only 2 that would ge over well with majority. I think it's Gruden and have no doubt, though.

Strong is not going to be hired.

If it is not Gruden, they will shoot higher than Strong.

I don't think you can overstate how important this hire is, and if Hart screws it up, he be sent packing. Strong ain't gonna keep him working.

No.....horribly underwhelming hire. It's obvious you don't have a handle on the pulse if the fanbase.

I know many who would bring the matches over that.

No sleep at all between warrior calling me a troll and my compulsive disorder worrying about my alarm not going I slept less than a few hours. Anybody else have a huge fear about their alarm not going off when they have to get up earlier than normal??

I'm retired so I don't use the alarm much, but when I do I'll wake up about 20 times checking the clock.

Spoke to a Bama Alumni 2 days ago on my team about Saban and Gruden. He thinks Gruden would be great for the conference and would bring back the rivalry between us. He also said that Saban gets to do whatever he wants in Birmingham and Mayor Bell just turns his head.

My Bama buddy out here says the same exact thing..and that the their boards (before the A&M collapse) were talking it up how great it would be to regain the UT/Bama rivalry with Gruden/Saban!!!

I'm sorry for posting in the Cliff notes thread....but mods please delete all these references to LWS's (Larry) opinion. He is no source of information. Just another long time poster who thinks he's connected. He's dead wrong here and will be shown as such within a few weeks. His 5-10% BS is just a little wiggle room to try and have it both ways. To sound like a big shot if he's right, and not a bonehead if he's not.
