That fact has been established multiple times over in this thread. Smarmy doesn't even begin to describe his arrogance or cluelessness.

Factual, I dunno, promising? I sure hope so! But i'm not jumping off a cliff following a bunch of people who have clever avatars and catchy names because they are "concrete sources" All I am confident in is that the university seems to be investing in football again.

Remember the good ol days right after the exile? We just knocked Dooley and talked Gruden. Then the insurgents came on their period and need affirmation every 5 min.

Spoke to a Bama Alumni 2 days ago on my team about Saban and Gruden. He thinks Gruden would be great for the conference and would bring back the rivalry between us. He also said that Saban gets to do whatever he wants in Birmingham and Mayor Bell just turns his head.

Ok, I am in a good mood so I will indulge this line of thought briefly.

Why is it so hard to think, using your head for a moment, that Jon Gruden wouldn't want to coach here?

And as a followup if I may, if we assume that he doesn't want to come here, but our AD is willing to do whatever it took to at least try to hire him, then wouldn't it stand to reason that this indicates that they are serious about making a statement hire?

If you agree with that then you could assume that if, by some chance, we dont get Gruden, that the consolation hire may actually be pretty decent as well. So we all want Gruden, but what if we end up with Stoops, Del Rio, Gundy, or Roman.

Had any of those names been realistic before the Gruden hoopla started, most of us would have been ecstatic. No?

The point is, we are going to make a fantastic hire. I think Gruden is already done, but you don't have to believe that to be optimistic at this point.

I would like to take this moment (since Thanksgiving is tomorrow) and offer up thanks for these Gruden threads. It is the only sane place right now and the OGs have kept everyone calm. Kudos to everyone in here. Wish we could all get together at some point after the annoucement and grab a beer together and celebrate our rise to the top.

Rucker is the second worst....bros goin hard are the absolute worst. Rucker, on a personal note, seems like the biggest , well, I don't want to call him a nerd...I'm a nerd.....self aggrandizing moron?
