Take Tee over Hinshaw unless there is a way to keep both. Both are really good recruiters.

I can't strongly disagree except for the fact Hinshaw already has a relationship with some of the recruits we will go forward with. T is good but Hinshaw isn't chopped liver

I know I am a noob but just curious on this "breaking news" and want to know if there is any link or exactly who this David guy is that is reporting? Take it easy on me now lol.

That makes me think Parcells instead of Gruden.

A friend of mine has a BIG business in Alabama and when I told him about "Jack" on Basilio's show saying Stallings, Stabler and Namath made the Saban deal happen....not the AD, he said this:

That is bull****. Mal Moore (Bama AD) had EVERYTHING to do with with the Saban hire. I know that for a fact. It's part of the reason why they are naming the new athletic complex the Mal Moore Athletic Complex.

My friend HATES Bama and is a Georgia fan, so there is no bias there.

Not sure about that, the same Mal hired Shula and was a change of mind at the last minute from Rich Rod from being in our position.

Sorry if already answered, and it probably has been, as I am four hours behind in this thread.

But (no sources), perhaps the MOU said Gruden would coach UT for X years for Y dollars, if UT does A, B, and C.

Perhaps, Slice's going all in at noon yesterday meant UT had confirmed that A, B, and C have been handled. Even if we have an MOU, he technically could still back out.

Since Gruden I, I have tried to accept everything the respected OGs and other respected posters have said as being true, or at least believed by them to be true. I then try to weave it all together and reach my own conclusion. I am absolutely not at 100% with all of this though, because I have never met any of these posters. But, that has been my process of determining what the full story likely is, if this isn't all a hoax.

Good post. I can buy all that

I heard Jeremy Bates early on. Who knows now? Doesn't matter really.

I like Bates, but the guy has not made much of a name for himself since the two years he called plays in Denver for Cutler, which was Mike Shanahan's offense. He was with Carroll for 2 years (one with USC, and another in Seattle) and then let go, and now is back to coaching QBs because Cutler begged Chicago to bring him in.

Chaney is better than Jeremy Bates, guys.

Ummmmmm. No..........

This.

I don't think it is a problem keeping Chaney. He will know his role and Gruden WILL NOT make the same misatkes that Dooley made RE: Chaney.

Dooley was the messed up variable in that relationship.

People seem to forget that Chaney was here under Kiffin and things worked pretty well.

Thats what concerns me...we need a well oiled machine...not a cheap fix to save money while we keep our ears perked for strange noises going down the road.

I remember some questionable play calling under Kiffy, but maybe that was due to Kiffy calling them...

He might work out well, and Gruden may ***** slap him if he doesn't, but Id rather not risk any hiccups...and of course if Grudes is happy, I'll be happy.
