More gold from Grudenville:

We don't need to prepare for a letdown, you need to getdown off your sister/wife, unless its your turn to breed the town goat and concintrate on a coach you boys can afford. I know one you can afford he will be unemployed Friday and is in a little pinch when is comes to money. Beleve he is bankrut and would be willin to work for the budget you can put togeter after you pay off the 14 umemployed coaches you are payin. Not to mention the fresh rounds of lawsoots and NCAA penileties you just landed. Good luck with ur search.

Lol

OMG....go back to school and at least finish the 5th grade. I've never seen so many mis-spelled words in one paragraph. Shows what kind of people live in Arkyland.

I've been on pins and needles waiting for his input!

Hey I'm sorry in my post I never credited you guys. You were the first. I have posted many times saying how I would wait till it was substantial. David's text did that for me. Chaney saves us money, will help with running the offense and be like what he was when Kiffin was here. Don't see that as a negative.

It sure is exciting. I really think Hinshaw needs to be apart of the next staff. IMO I would rather have him than T. Is it possible we have all 3??

Take Tee over Hinshaw unless there is a way to keep both. Both are really good recruiters.

I'm good with keeping Chaney as long as Gruden keeps him in check. He proved under Kiffen he can be a 1b coordinator.

This.

I don't think it is a problem keeping Chaney. He will know his role and Gruden WILL NOT make the same misatkes that Dooley made RE: Chaney.

Dooley was the messed up variable in that relationship.

People seem to forget that Chaney was here under Kiffin and things worked pretty well.

I trust you a lot more than Slice but there is a clear contradiction here between the two of you. One says done deal and the other negotiating still going on

Sorry if already answered, and it probably has been, as I am four hours behind in this thread.

But (no sources), perhaps the MOU said Gruden would coach UT for X years for Y dollars, if UT does A, B, and C.

Perhaps, Slice's going all in at noon yesterday meant UT had confirmed that A, B, and C have been handled. Even if we have an MOU, he technically could still back out.

Since Gruden I, I have tried to accept everything the respected OGs and other respected posters have said as being true, or at least believed by them to be true. I then try to weave it all together and reach my own conclusion. I am absolutely not at 100% with all of this though, because I have never met any of these posters. But, that has been my process of determining what the full story likely is, if this isn't all a hoax.

Absolutely. Not to mention that Chaney's playcalling has absolutely been part of the problem this year. Ridiculous 3rd and short calls and no commitment to the run whatsoever. I can't handle another year of this dude running the offense.

I'm not saying I want to keep him but, he's basically been calling an offense that has been perpetually behind all season long because of the atrocious defense, it's hard to be consistent when you can't maintain a lead.

They are. He's been approached, and has let Kiffin know his intentions.

This plus Babyavi saying Chaney plus OCI confirming Bisaccia, Morris, Pittman looks like we'll have a revamped D plus stability in the O with a large splash of the Gruden factor.
Even for a year I like keeping the O intact to help with stability for these kids that have been through so many changes.

Please no Chaney. Thought Bates was going to be OC. But if its Chaney that means he has coached for 3a different guys. Of course Gruden could call plays like Lane did. But Chaney and Gruden have 2 different offensive philosophies. Guess we will see

Gruden has changed since TB. He has spent a lot of time studying the college game. People need to take a step back when evaluating Chaney. The guy can flat out coach offense. Every game I was at this year there were a dozen times guys were running WIDE open. His scheme works.

Gruden will help with situational play-calling, which seems to be the biggest gripe with Chaney, so if that is taken care of, what's not to like?
