No sir that is not what I meant. I don't think I have taken any shots at anyone who wanted to keep Dooley or wanted another coach etc. I wasn't insinuating anything. Promise! :)

Have you ever watched a Petrino-coached team play defense? Or the lack thereof?

And this is not to mention the serious character issues the guy has, and not just the issues at Arkansas...

Basilio is and has been spot on, in regards to what's going on in this situation. All the so called insiders on this board, have jumped to conclusions like they always do, (then resort to lying / back peddling / saying the deal, commitment, whatever fell through at the last minute, in order to cover their ass). No deal has been reached, with Gruden or anyone else at this point, and no public announcement regarding DD's dismissal will be made until one has been reached. BTW, I'm not asking anyone to believe this, just sit back, watch what unfolds and see first hand, instead of believing every word you read from so called insiders, who simply aren't. If you are naive enough to continue believing the so called insiders, I suggest you do an individual search on each of them and check out their accuracy. They might fare well in baseball hitting percentage, but they all suck in predicting fact from fiction. The end.

If you've tracked the rumors this isn't all bad. Below is my reasoning why.

1. most have said nothing is happening until Gruden is locked up and that he's 1-3 in our search.
2. Most have said whether DD finalized the season was in large part up to him in playing along and their actually being traction on Gruden.
3. That Hyam's and Basillio are both reporting DD is done but will likely coach Troy and their being no announcement likely says the deal with DD is done.
4. Both Hyam's and Basillio reporting that Gruden has some interest and is vetting.
5. Assuming 1-4 are accurate things are likely leaning in our favor assuming Gruden takes our offer. That's the big question.

There would not have been a glimmer of hope.

If Hart spoke today he would only have one of two possible options. The first would be to unequivocally support Dooley and squash all these Gruden rumors or the complete opposite of that which would be to announce Dooleys resignation and name an interim head coach until the coaching search in final.

I think having Gruden all locked up today is a pipe dream.

Hart would never go public and say "well, were not sure what we are going to do, but we wanted to make sure the fans know we are listening."
