Waaah. This entire grooden thread has been nothing but a place, a wish hole, whatever you call it, to replace our current coach. That's fine. 3weeks ago it was a little grumbling that has, now, become an incessant Dooley bashfest. He has been called everything - you read it Coasty - yesterday he was called an azzhole on this site. How many new accounts have been created with some sort of anti-dooley name or a new grude-dude type name. It's this type of low class, knuckle dragging, mouth breathing mentality that will force any future coach or recruit to think twice about representing our university. As pervasive as social media is today you can bet that the Dooley's AND THE TEAM know it exists.
I for one think that Coach Dooley has gave his all for the University. He has represented the University with class. For what it's worth, whomever our next coach is I really feel kind of sorry for him.
I dont think there is 1 recruit who wuld play for DD that wouldnt play for Gruden. In fact, I would be pretty certain there would be a whole new batch of players lining up with Gruden.
You have a right to your thought about Coach Dooley, as I have the same to mine. That was not your OP, you said that the Grudenites where all as guilty as the people who heckled Coach Dooley's family in person at the USCjr game.
I can not account for everyone who posts in this thread as a Grudenite, nor everyone who posts as a Dooley supporter, but when you lump all Gruden supporters into
the same group and say that ... I TAKE OFFENCE. I do not know you, and I bet you are a good peorson, however when you say i am as bad as they, when i ask for a new coach...You are WRONG... Had I been present at the game and witnessed what was reported, I would have not been standing by and doing nothing.
It was a shame and a disgrace to treat his family that way and I do not like being told I would have and am doing the same when this is simply untrue.
As far as me reading it, I have been faithfully in this thread minding my own business all along... I think I am well aware of what has been posted.
I have read same type post, about Dooley in the game threads, and the threads supporting others coaches, do you believe anyone who wants Dooley gone is also just as guilty????
Not the argument. The argument is would a recruit give Tennessee the benefit of the doubt with an "up and comer" coach. No they wouldn't has the edge IMO. It has everything to do with comfort, relationships, and uncertainty with schemes, assistants and coaches
I know I am in the minority... but I wouldn't mind that. I want Derrick Green to come to Tennessee and a decent D would show a different W/L Record. I want a decision.
This has been my opinion since Miss St:
I would not mind Dooley being fired, if and only if, Tennessee signs its "Nick Saban". I do not want some up and comer. I do not want a guy that has to explain himself to current commits. I want a guy that comes in and creates instant excitement from us, the fan base, and recruits. Tennessee the program, cannot afford an up and comer. We will be set back more years and I am not about that life.
So you agree that all this Dooley bashing is uncalled for?
